What a lovely place to stay! Thank you for being so welcoming
What made this place stand out were the owners - it's the little things like knowing our names (in fact all the guest names), taking time to answer questions about the area and showing a genuine warmth for your guests. You made us feel right at home!

The hostess welcomed us warmly and with stand-up comedy as an extra! The place is very beautifully designed, the breakfast is brought on cute trays and included spamish tortilla and other salty options as well as an amazing porridge. The hostess graciously let us use the breakfast room for other meals when we could not find open-air restaurants. She happily shared many tips including on where to go wild swimming. Excellent location, a block from main street on a beautiful street.

On a working farm, these pods are overlooked by the ruins on Roy Castle. The “Guardian of the Castle” is a magnificent Highland cow. Horses and mules roam the fields outside the front door. This is simply a peaceful and perfect spot.

Grantown is a very pleasant community which has tourist facilities but has a 'life of its own' and does not solely rely on tourists. It has a pleasant museum & golf course and excellent places to walk. It feels very safe. It is a very good base from which to radiate out both into the Cairngorms, along the Spey and up to the north coast. We stayed four nights which fitted with other plans we had but I could happily have spent a full week here.

It’s a super wee village with all the shops, cafes, bars and restaurants you would want. Close to woodland walks from the town and short drive to the river and mountains of the Cairngorms a more relaxed feel than the nearby town of Aviemore.

The location was central and convenient for shops and eating out. Lovely woodland walks nearby too. Lots of places to visit in the car.
This was an old cottage and the owners have tried to bring it up to date with new windows, heating and a lovely shower room upstairs. There were nice touches like a torch, umbrella and binoculars by the door. It was cleaned well and smelled fresh on entering.
Excellent communication and help from Shona (from before we even arrived and throughout our short stay), and gave us a warm welcome. Beautiful house, garden and room, and is in a great location. Breakfast was wonderful in the lovely dining room. Shona provided a detailed description of nearby restaurants and was really helpful and understanding with our dietary requirements.
The location is nice, if you are spending time in Cairgorms or just in the nearby riverside. The staff was really friendly, and I was very impressed that they remembered my food allergies. The room was nice and quiet.
