RossMor is a 6-bedroom, family-run guest house, offering Visit Scotland ‘4 star Gold’ bed and breakfast accommodations with views in the heart of the Cairngorms National Park. We had a fabulous stay at Ross Mor. Thomas is a first class host, giving lots of good information and being around to chat at any time. He also gave an excellent recommendation for a wee gem of a restaurant, where we ate our evening meal each day. Ross Mor is a beautiful Victorian building, with decor and furniture fitting the period, but all modern amenities as well. There is a lovely eclectic art collection throughout the house as well as a cosy lounge with woodburning stove. Our room was excellent with a good sized en-suite and very comfortable beds, so much so I really didn't want to get up in the mornings! Breakfast got me going though, with a wide choice of locally sourced and produced food on offer, from fruit, cereals, home baked bread and a wide variety of cooked options. Everywhere was spotlessly clean, there was ample space for social distancing and hand sanitiser available everywhere. We felt very safe. RossMor is in a good location for visiting many interesting places and some wonderful walks locally. Thank you Thomas and friends for a high standard of accommodation and service. We will certainly stay with you again if we are in the area, and recommend you to our friends.

Located in the historic town of Grantown-on-Spey, Firhall Highland Bed and Breakfast is a newly redeveloped 1880s home offering free WiFi, free private parking, and home-baked biscuits. OMG! Not many places exceed our expectations, but Stewart and James have created a delightful B&B topped with incredible food. Attentive hosts, full of tips and info and very accommodating to your wishes. Stewart’s breakfast is one of the best we’ve eaten (and we’ve eaten a lot!), more than you can handle. We don’t often give 10s but this time...

In the Highland village of Grantown-on-Spey, Strathallan Bed and Breakfast lies in the northern region of the Cairngorms National Park. A really lovely room with luxurious extra touches such as a Nespresso machine and fabulous toiletries.
Everywhere is within walking distance, no shop keepers forced you to buy and are happy for you to browse, good selection of local shops plus a Co-op. Lots of places to eat and drink - can recommend the Garth Hotel in particular both for its accommodation and its food - breakfast is amazing and the choice for dinner huge. Ideal stop off point or stay point for tourists and walkers alike most of the town is dog friendly. Close to Aviemore for skiing, climbing etc . The area is outstanding for fly fishing and the restaurants will cook your catch for you. Can't wait to go back this visit was far too short
The hotel was very comfortable with spacious rooms, excellent shower; good meals, friendly, helpful staff, good value for money. Great location for the Cairngorms, Loch Ness, Inverness and Culloden. Pleasant woodland walks on the outskirts of Grantown and picturesque River Spey. The only major disadvantage was the lack of Internet in the guest rooms. Even in the common areas the Internet was not always reliable. Otherwise, a top stay and highly recommended.
Grantown on Spey is a lovely traditional Scottish village. Although not large there is no shortage of quality shops. There are many extensive walks within easy reach - some suitable for pushchairs and wheelchairs. The local folk are very welcoming and friendly. A really lovely place to stay for a relaxing time.
People tend to go to Aviemore when visiting this area, which although nice can be a bit too "touristy". Grantown, however, retains the character of busy well-to-do highland town, without ever feeling over-bearing in any way. Indeed there is somewhat laid back, happy-in-its-own-skin feel to the place which rubs off well on the visitors. Lots to like about the shops. Sometimes in similar places, the local supermarket ( being the only one ) will rip you off, to the extent that you wonder how locals survive. Not so for the well proportioned Coop in this town - prices were competitive all round. Similarly for restaurants and take-aways, of which there is a good choice.
Good base for exploring the surrounding area. Easy to get around. A bit old fashioned with one or two decent places to eat A couple of small supermarkets fish and chip shops and Other amenities
It's absolutely lovely. This was our first visit and we were very impressed and wished we'd booked a longer stay. It was easy to get to by bus, having taken the train to Aviemore (though it is always best to check bus times on different days as I don't think the buses run late/not sure about Sunday travel). Lots of places to eat or have a drink, including outside seating. They have a couple of supermarkets which is great if you're self catering. Lots of possibilities for walking and there are other nearby towns, villages an dfun things to do like the old steam railway, the mountains, cycling etc etc.

Everything , the place is fantastic , We feel as we have visit some parents , the place was so relaxing and comfortable , Thomas is an amazing person , he set a fire for us and we spend an amazing romantic night that we will never forget , thank you Thomas for this , to be part of a great memory . I also must tell you about the breakfast , well , was unbelievable , like in a 5 stars hotel , surprising how special a place can be . Ready to face now reality fully charged ! Many thanks Amy and Vio
Everything from the electric heater provided in the room, the bar with it's log burner (Sitting in front of it eating our fish and chips brought from across the road, lovely.)..Thai restaurant attached to the hotel which although we didn't try it seemed popular..Couldn't fault the breakfast and I am fussy, but it was served with the magic words "Be careful, the plates hot." 👍..All in all, if you want a hotel to sample Scottish Village hospitality, you won't go wrong.
Grantown on Spey
James and Stuart are exceptional hosts - the property is wonderful and the bedrooms are incredible. We stayed in the Spey room: it was vast, with an enormous comfortable bed. The little touches make the difference; beautiful furnishings, robes, nespresso machine - the sort of extras you would expect in a 5 Star hotel. And the breakfast was incredible. I honestly cannot fault this place and if I am in the area again, I wouldn’t even think about staying anywhere else.
This hotel is a bit off the main road, so it’s very quiet. Our room, which was for three of us, was very nicely appointed and very roomy. It had a beautiful, updated bathroom. The breakfast was an awesome, full cooked breakfast, and was delicious. Parking was easy, with a car park in front of the hotel. There was a bar in the hotel, which was convenient. We also loved the noon check-out, since it gave us time to do some things in the morning before we left.

Daniel and Sarah are fantastic hosts. They have looked after us so well. Rooms are spacious enough, spotlessly clean and well equipped. the Guest House is surrounded by a lovely garden in a quiet area nearer a Forest and short walking distance to shop and main road. The Breakfast is delicious and home made with high quality food. We will definitely return back and would like to recommend this excellent place to stay ! thank you for having us, Daniel and Sarah!

Great hospitality, very good breakfast, the bed is comfortable and the location is right near a really nice pub, which is one of the few places to eat open in the evening. Our bathroom was spectacular - a stylish large room with both a bathtub and a standing shower, with various bath products included (bubble bath etc..)... The hosts also helped us with a forgotten jacket - thank you very much again!
