while close to the city of Shrewsbury, the property was beautifully situated in the Shropshire countryside offering picturesque views of the rolling hills and river. You could tell they had undergone recent renovations - everything still smelled new and looked fresh. the bath tubs are excellent for soaking after a long day outside. the food and bar (service and quality) all excellent. the Riverside inn was a little gem on our trip.

The Mytton and Mermaid - Brunning and Price is a splendid Grade II-listed building on the bank of the River Severn, England’s longest river.

What an absolutely delightful place. It was our long shot and it surpassed everything we’d read. Room was super and trust me no noise from below to spoil our sleep. Pub atmosphere was fun, folks friendly and food over the top great. Servers were right on top of getting you what you needed and fast service especially considering it was busy for dinner. Breakfast the same.

The place had character and was cosy. Better than staying in a chain hotel. As they don't cook evening meal we asked for suggestions and he was more than helpful and went to one of them and he was right it was perfect.
