The time of year we visited meant that a lot of the cafes and shops were closed. There is a great fish and chip shop on Regent Rd that does an amazing Steak and mushroom pie dinner. 'Fish-o-licious'. Lovely beaches and usual seaside attractions. Everything is within walking distance. Plenty of taxis if walking is a problem. Lots of groups hanging about on the main shopping street, quite intimidating if on your own.

It was out of season so there wasn’t many people around but there was a lot of immigrants standing around in groups and sometimes blocking the pavement and not moving to let people through, and there was a lot of dog excrement along the beach and South Beach Parade at the Pleasure Beach complex end, and there was immigrants camping in the sand dunes behind the Pleasure Beach complex.

Great yarmouth is nice the parking on the seafront is a bit steep £5.60 for 2 hours bur there other places further you go from the seafront the cheaper they are. Plenty to do but you will need plenty of money.

I had great memories but sadly the whole place is tired and past its sell by date. Really disappointed. Even the taxi drivers who should herald the place were ALL negative about the drugs and amount of crime

So friendly and helpful owners lots of freebies too like bottles of water and bags of crisps and choccy bars and an array of other things too really exceptional for the reasonable price of your room, when leaving we asked for our thermos flask to be filled with tea and no problem and not a penny taken such a wonderful service I would highly recommend the kings lodge hotel Great yarmouth also it is only 2 mins walk from the seafront promenade and a 10 mins walk from the main shopping street

The location was great, one street behind the seafront right next to the shops and the Britannia pier. 48 hour Parking at sainsburys round the corner was very cheap and we could do it online before we went. The manager was there when we arrived despite it being a self service hotel with no official reception and was very friendly and helpful. Toilet rolls, bin sacks all available at reception and lots of well filled hand sanitiser stations all round the building on each floor.

The caravan was in superb condition, very modern and well maintained, and we all felt very welcomed and can’t wait to come back again. Forget about those tiny hotel rooms along the seafront these caravans are spacious, immaculate and perfect for families. You’re only a 25 minute walk from the sea front and the caravans are located in a quiet peaceful area which is beautifully presented.

Room was v nice and clean. The owners were v nice to. Remembering our names each time saw us and our breakfast preferences. Even that we had black tea and didn't need milk for drinks in a morning . Had a small bar with honesty book for drinks to pay at end of stay. Hotel was in a nice quiet part of yarmouth but still close to centre so got a good night's sleep
