Great staff. Most kind and helpful. Some food very good and some food not so good. Pork belly for example not good at all but scampi excellent. Bathroom could do with somewhere to hand hand towel near sink. Soap difficult to use . Really enjoyed our stay and again staff excellent.

A lovely place to stay with fantastic rooms and delicious food.
Our room was spacious, had a view across to the park from a juliette balcony, a huge bed and a very nice bathroom with a bath big enough for 2!
We ate at the restaurant downstairs, and it was difficult deciding on what to have because it all sounded so enticing. We were looked after by Ryanna (I hope I spelt your name right) and she was an absolute pleasure! From beginning to end we were given friendly and fun service which added so much to what was already a great evening. Thank you, you're a legend!!

The elegant spa town of Harrogate has some of England’s finest Victorian architecture. Lush greenery and colourful flowers also add to the stately atmosphere.
The main attraction is the Turkish Baths and Health Spa, in a 19th-century building which maintains its original Moorish interior design. Nearby is the Royal Pump Room Museum, set over Europe’s strongest sulphur well and detailing the town’s history.
One ongoing Harrogate institution is Bettys Tea Rooms which serves fabulous afternoon tea. Surrounded by the unique shops of the Montpellier Quarter, it overlooks gardens which continue south to meet The Stray – over 200 acres of parkland whose vibrant spring blossom is quite a sight. On the opposite side of town are the Grade II-listed Valley Gardens, whose bandstand hosts summer concerts. The gardens merge into a pine wood which neighbours the acclaimed RHS Harlow Carr Gardens.
Aside from its visual beauty, the town is also important for conferences. Harrogate International Centre is one of the UK’s top convention venues - just one of the reasons why the accommodation industry here is thriving.
Options on Booking.com include 5-star hotels with spas, cheap apartments near the train station, and guest houses with parking. The nearest airport is Leeds Bradford Airport to the south.

We found Harrogate very clean with a great range of shops and places to eat. Both the railway station and bus station was central and well maintained. The locals that we interacted with were very friendly and the ticket office staff at the railway station went beyond.
The open space around the town is well maintained and was a credit to the towns ambiance.

Harrogate is a lovely place and a few days would be ample for someone's first visit. We visit approximately once a year now and often visit Hull, Haworth, York and Beverley and make it into 4-5 days. There are some many villages and places of interest/ walks that are easily accessible from Harrogate. Harrogate is relatively flat so not too bad for people with mobility difficulties. Enjoy!

Only there from Monday to Friday, but it was enough for what we wanted to do. Town is okay with plenty of places to eat - cheap to higher end. Coffee shops galore as well as really nice restaurants (not forgetting Betty's!). Useful as a base for visiting both York and Knaresborough, we traveled cheaply by train to both - station is centrally located and trains and station are very well kept.
On the last day found the Valley Gardens - absolutely beautiful and well worth a visit. Harrogate is definitely a place to visit.

Harrogate is so very pretty.
Harrogate is so very pretty. Lots of little charity shops, cute gimmicky shops, plenty of original restaurants, and we found a couple of fantastic live music bars. Didnt get to go to Bettys Tea Rooms as there were constant queues

Harrogate is very chic with beautiful gardens and well kept flower beds. The shops are tasteful with the likes of Hoopers Department store, Russell and Bromley, Jigsaw and LK Bennett. For entertainment there is The Ivy restaurant, the Fat Badger and Bettys tea room to name a few.
It is a good sized town that is manageable to get around and you feel that you have seen everything
It is reminiscent of York on a smaller scale and I would definitely recommend a visit.

There are loads of bars and restaurants it's hard to choose.
There are loads of bars and restaurants it's hard to choose. The blues bar has a great vibe with live music and a tapas bar upstairs. The Chinese at the old Turkish Baths is a good restaurant as well.
The accommodation was outstanding....probably the best Guest House/Hotel we have ever been to.....and we have been to a lot.The standard of service was exceptional and the owners, Caroline and Nigel are two of the nicest people we have ever met. Our room was beautiful...wine and chocolates were a lovely touch and fresh milk and soft drinks in the fridge. We are still in awe about our lovely weekend in Harrogate. We have met two lovely people who we regard as our friends now.
This is an older hotel, quite large but not as large as some in Harrogate, but with its own charm and with attentive front desk, bar and restaurant staff. Beautiful gardens, great location on the Stray but a short walk from the town centre. The restaurant was a pleasant surprise, ambitious menu but carried out in great style by the kitchen. Restaurant staff were friendly and efficient, especially a pair of Spanish ones.
location is great and the hotel has a warm comfy feel to it.
nice buzz in the hotel bar and restaurant and probably one of the places to go in Harrogate.
Parking was good with space for the larger cars , but pricey.
Lovely little hotel just outside the centre of Harrogate. Staff were lovely and welcoming.
Room was spotlessly clean and had everything you need. Perfect place to stay!
