Imposing property. Beautiful location. The staff are exceptional. Every one of them are friendly and couldn’t be more helpful. The room was lovely and clean. Had lunch and the Prawn cocktail was incredible.

The house is very nice inside and the room we stayed in is one of the best we have stayed in period. nice thick comfortable carpets, lovely beds, good condiments (hot chocolate good coffee), sky box in every room and free breakfast for the price of this booking you really need to stay here and appreciation the efforts she has taken! SUE you were AWSOME and served best service me and my mate have ever came across we will be back!

The property was clean and decorated nicely, and it was stocked with all the things you could need (towels, shampoo/conditioner, kitchen essentials, etc). It was apparent that the owners put a lot of thought and care into making the property a great place to stay!

    If it hadn’t been for a family wedding, I would not have...

    If it hadn’t been for a family wedding, I would not have chosen to visit Hartlepool. The town felt very run down, with many shops closed and little to do. It came across as a sad and struggling area. Unfortunately, we also experienced a couple of racial incidents, which made us feel uncomfortable. If you are a person of colour, this may not feel like a welcoming or friendly place to visit.

    Like all Towns & Beach Resorts, just avoid The Crappy Areas. Some Lovely Sights and Walks, Great Stretch of Long Quiet Beach all the way upto Sunderland and Beyond. Can't wait to see The Seals and Dolphins next visit.

    The main shopping centre (Middleton Grange) is not doing...

    The main shopping centre (Middleton Grange) is not doing well, with a large propotion of the units vacant. Church Street, once the hub of the town, is now largely occupied by fast food outlets. There is a shortage of hotels with two, the Stainclffe (Seaton Carew) and the Hillcarter having recently closed.

    Hartlepool is a charming and welcoming community with lovely surroundings and friendly locals, offering a glimpse into the warmth of British coastal life. However, our experience was unfortunately marred by the poor amenities at the flat we stayed in, which failed to meet even basic standards. Despite this, the town itself has its appeal and would likely be an enjoyable destination with better accommodation arrangements.

    A bit biased because I grew up there and left in 1988 but the town has changed a great deal over the years. The are around the Marina is the jewel in the crown with the Navy Museum and historic ships. the walk down to Seaton Carew is also to be recommended as well as the Headland. The town itself is the same as any other. This is also a good base for exploring further up and down the coast.

    The delightful secret of Hartlepool lies outside the town, on the Headland, which is where the original town lies. Beautiful Victorian villas, bright and breezy promenade, terrific fish-and-chip shop with queues outside the doors, and a fascinating parish church.

    This place is a hidden gem about 30 seconds walk from the sea. The whole town had a power cut during our stay. We used the candles to play pool and board games by candlelight. The house is spacious, quirky decorated and there was a lovely welcome package left by the owners. We will 100% be back to stay again. We are nearly finished a family trip around the UK. This house was by far our family favourite place we stayed and it was also the cheapest!

    The managers were exceptional and a lovely couple who provided a full & excellent reception service. The room was clean and spacious and a comfortable bed. Although I did not use the continental breakfast myself, it seemed plentiful and easily accessible in a large dining room. I would recommend and use this B&B again as it is far superior to the other budget Hotels & B&B's I have used whilst visiting Hartlepool.

    Lovely bedroom, bathroom and shower was to die for. There are two bedrooms - I was lone customer but was given sole occupancy so it was nice and private. Location was fine for me, close to the lovely marina with a frequent bus service 10 mins walk away providing easy access to the Headland. There is also a large supermarket and a pub and food outlets for meals within 5-10 mins walk.
