Decor was lovely and modern. Clean room. Iron, hair dyer, TV and tea/coffee facilities were provided in the room. The shower has to be the best I have ever experienced! Room was a fairly "cosy" size but that wasn't a problem for just a couple nights stay. Staff were fab, really helpful and friendly - especially the lady behind the bar. Ideal location in the centre of Haverfordwest. Was a pleasant stay and worth the money.

Told us the wrong room someone was in bed in the room that was meant to be ours , stains on the sheets , dust under the bed , cobweb and spider in the shared bathroom , people in the room above awake at 5 am walking around on squeaky floorboards very heavy footed , dirty dishes in the kitchen no cleans cups , no facilities in the room to make a drink , very basic , no tv
I stayed in Broadhaven. A few miles outside Haverfordwest. It is a good small seaside resort. The Sunshine Italian restaurant was outstanding for food. Plenty of sitting areas at the Anchor, both inside and outside. Good management Heloful staff.
County town for Pembrokeshire; like everywhere it's suffered a bit in the pandemic, and a few areas would benefit from a bit of TLC, but overall an excellent base to explore this lovely county, it was around 30 minutes by car to just about everywhere we'd planned to visit, St David's, Cardigan, Picton Castle, Fishguard, and Stackpole. There were decent cafes, restaurants, supermarkets, and other facilities (the leisure centre is just across the road from the B&B where we stayed), though we were there just before the start of the season proper so some places were closed or had limited opening hours.
Haverfordwest is centrally situated for visiting the many places of interest in Pembrokeshire. The roads are generally very good and most towns and sites have good parking facilities. The main downside how ever is that there are no real quality eating places, just pubs.
We spent no time at all in Haverfordwest the town and all of it in the surrounding countryside. Beaches, cliff walks, seals. Roads are very like Devon with very high banks and narrow with passing places, but saying that traffic was very light at the end of Aug so had no problems getting around. Food wise its a good idea to book meals out! The Ocean in Broad Haven (Had a good vegan dessert) and The Castle & St Brides in Little Haven were where we went and enjoyed good meals. Sat on the beach at Martin's Haven we had a seal pop its head out of the water right in front of us then walked round the headland and spotted lots more in the bays there.
It was good to have a Town nearby to get essentials. Haverfordwest has 4 supermarkets of which Tesco was the nearest. North Headborough B&B (on outskirts of Haverfordwest) is about 15-20 minutes car drive away.

The property: exceeded all expectations; original country manor with hosts that could not be more accommodating; set in large grounds with flowing views of open fields onto an estuary; perfect for country activities; only 5 mins drive to town centre and 15 mins to coast. We eloped from Spain to be married locally and the owners helped us prepare for the day and also became our witness. Both genuine and beautiful people! Thank you /Muchas Garcias Rob and Jules. We couldn’t recommend you highly enough. Steve and Lorena

Breakfast would have been room service but was gone before serving time. The hotel is in need of a major cash injection and is currently up for sale which says a lot. The route to the hotel is what made me change plans and stay elsewhere on the second night. The staff were great. Second night was in a premier inn where the room was 3 times the size, double bed instead of single, large desk where there was none, wardrobe where there was none etc etc etc and for £35 instead of £60 a night
Haverfordwest
