It is so big. But I did think it was easier to navigate this time due to all the information hosts I saw placed around the airport. I could always find someone to ask if I was going in the right direction.
Lots of shopping and restaurants. But have to walk a LOT to get from baggage check to some gates in the same terminal. If connecting flights are at a different terminal be prepared to walk two miles or more!
I don’t like everything you have very poor customer service First I was room 23 toilet was very dirty and the change me to room 38 some one Wes living in the room and again they changed me room 7 again someone living there omg I was so upset and the change me again in room40there is no key in the locker box and they send me back in room 29 the room is ok but so many things in the room they don’t have them like thr tv stand the have to used the lunch table
Very busy airport but appears to run smoothly. The arrivals hall in T2 had very helpful staff at the information desk. However it lacked staff on the floor to help direct people. There were interactive ports for info but people like to connect with people and feel welcome to your country. Signage in that area could be upgraded as it is a small area and can be busy.
We had booked first class with B A but we're very disappointed with the first class lounge, it was dirty with lots of empty cups, cans and paper left about with apparently no one cleaning anything away, we are staying in Dubai where every where is spotless even the motorways are clean!. We have always flown with Virgin before we tried BA, and I must say their first class lounge is 100% better than BA. Also there just wasn't enough seating for the number of people crammed in, it was really poor and in the need of a good make over, more of a road side cafe than a first class lounge.
If you have vertigo like me, the airport is a bit of a nightmare due to very long escalators and walkways. The food and drink in the hotel was expensive and not that great. Tip from me is to take bus to Uxbridge and if nice, walk along the canal. There is a great pub called The Swan and Bottle that has a very extensive men. The food is better than the hotel and cheaper.
