With a central location, 5 minutes’ walk from the Underground Station, the family-run Devonshire Hotel in Hornchurch provides luxurious rooms and indulgent breakfasts. High standard of presentation, cleanliness and friendly efficient service. The Devonshire never disappoints, couldn’t wait for it to re-open after lock down so we could visit family in the area.
A 2-minute walk from Hornchurch Underground Station and a 40-minute drive from the center of London, this lodge offers well-equipped bedrooms, a bar, a restaurant and free parking. We stayed last year , so we did not hesitate to book again for this year. Warren and his team are very caring. Emma's cooking is great. We will be back in August 2020.
Located in Hornchurch in the Greater London region, Morland House Hornchurch features accommodations with free WiFi. Lovely clean linen and thick towels. Love the complimentary bits and pieces. Another great stay, Nice and warm and comfortable. Plenty space and storage. Will be back again. Thank you so much
Morland House apartments provide serviced accommodations in Greater London, just a 2 minute walk from Romford Station. The apartments has free WiFi throughout the property. The apartment was really clean, well equipped particularly the kitchen, the ladies in the reception were kind and helpful. I can't thank Georgia(the manager) enough for being super friendly and very happy to help. I highly recommend the place
Very clean room and well decorated. Shower was disappointing as not a lot of pressure and far too hot. Just a curtesy call or an email to inform guests about live music and noise prior to their stay would be a good idea and probably reduce complaints? Staff were fine although as nobody was around when we checked out and put our keys in the box there was nobody to tell about our concerns. Also was a little annoyed when lunch on Saturday wasn’t served until an hour later then stated on the menu.
There is lots of public transport - Tube and bus. The local taxi firm we used was very efficient. A very nice mix of little local shops and big name shops, and it's within easy distance of Lakeside shopping centre in one direction and links to London in the other(A13 and public transport). Hornchurch is an attractive bustling town with plenty of local history. We stayed at The Railway Tavern which is a friendly and relaxed hotel with a well stocked pub ( it has a gin menu!), and the food was lovely menu with some really nice vegetarian and vegan options.
Hornchurch is not really a tourist venue, I'm guessing you would only come as a business visitor or if you were visiting friends or attending a party/occasion at a close by venue. It would also suit tourists that want a quick and easy route into London without paying London hotel prices.
i was born in essex so to go back was a disapointment the railway hotel is very poor value for money t.v. as good as useless, no wifi stained carpets, the town is like any other the theatre was good so should be worth a look, there are more shops and better attractions in either upminster , brentwood or Romford, site of. englands oldest market and a big MALL ,Brentwood , upminster and romford all have nice country parks , and historic. sites, and rail links to london and further afield.
The Hotel is ideally situated near both the M25 and Hornchurch Tube Station. The room was great and in particular the domestic staff were brilliant and made me feel genuinely cared for. In total a good experience and I will most certainly stay again when I visit the area. My thanks to all at Inkeepers Rest.
Good local shopping also in nearby Romford. Hornchurch is on the London District Line, part of the London Underground system, to take you into Central London for Theatre Land, Westminster, The City of London and of course, Buckingham Palace. Hornchurch also has a Main Line Station providing rail links to the rest of the UK..
