Newton Hall Guest House offers adult-only accommodation in Inveraray. Free WiFi is offered and free private parking is available on site. The area is popular for golfing and fishing. The breakfasts were outstanding with a very accommodating chef (She even gave us her shortbread recipe). An excellent variety available and made to order. There were fresh baked snacks in our room daily. Our room's view was outstanding and our party gathered there to relax after a day of exploring. There was convenient off street parking. The hosts were very accessible, and always pleasant and extremely helpful.
Powdermills B & B features garden views, free WiFi and free private parking, set in Inveraray, 12 km from Inveraray Castle. We were just looking for a stop off after coming off the evening ferry from Islay, we were late arriving but Sue and John were very welcoming and we were treated to the most delicious cake and pot of tea. The room was spacious and comfortable. We had our little dog with us and the huge garden meant that we could give her a lovely walk before heading home today. We would definitely look to stay here when we are in the area again.

Newton Cottage South was built in around 1850 in the picturesque village of Newtown, Inveraray. The cottage offers loch views. Very clean, well equiped, excellent location for us. Easy access, parking available, excellent water pressure. Very comfortable, very good WiFi. I would go back in the wink of an eye.
Inveraray is a beautiful town. It's very a very peaceful place and the peace of the town quickly seeps into you. One of the most relaxing places I've been to. Sitting right on the edge of Loch Fyne, there's a great view at every turn. It's got a few shops to explore and some great places to eat nearby and in the town itself. There are a few interesting tourist attractions - the jail and the castle. It's also a good location for exploring Argyll.
Lovely town. Evening meals in both the George Hotel and the Cottage both excellent. Drink West had a ‘pop-up’ bar part of George Hotel outdoors very creative..helped by the lovely weather..... felt as though we were in the med!!! As we were motor bike touring we didn’t spend much time in Inverary but plan on going back.
Lovely town on the shore of Loch Fyne. The scenery is stunning and we enjoyed all weather conditions. The shops and restaurants have all made a lot of adjustments to keep the risk of transmission of Corona (or other) Virus to a minimum. Samphire Restaurant is superb and needs an advance booking as so popular. Brambles deserves a speacial mention for the Secret Garden to sit in peace. Sit on one of the many benches and admire the Loch view near the jail.
Inveraray and places in the Highlands, are spectacular, with stunning views. Loch Fyne seafood is amazing, but we enjoyed every day visiting places like Oban and Tarbert, would totally recommend for a lovely relaxing trip.
Inveraray itself is a real beauty spot and well worth a visit. It is, however, a dire place for vegans. I found almost impossible to get a proper plant-based meal, which is really surprising in this day and age. On our next visit we would avoid eating at The George Hotel. The food was overpriced and not very good. Also, they were not adhering at all to social distancing. We didn't feel at all safe whilst we were there.
We have visited Inverary many times it is a beautiful town lovely old buildings and wonderful pub The George. It is a great base for exploring the area, lots to do kayaking pony trekking cycling walking -eating!
