Inverness is a fantastic city, compact and easy to walk around with a good selection of shops. Everyone is welcoming. I'd recommend the Ness Walk and Islands. There are some great restaurants, that do early bird offers. I also did a Loch Ness day tour which was good. Unfortunately i didn't have time to do any other tours. I was with my 9yr old daughter so we didn’t see much except the cinema (Vue) and Whin Park and Leisure Centre. All of which are fine and well worth a visit and very close by. The river Ness which runs right through Inverness is very picturesque. We highly recommend the Ness Island mini Railway and the boating pond which are both in Whin Park. Russell, the owner gave us a lot of useful insider information about Inverness and Scotland in general. In the morning he provided us a fabulous breakfast according to our wishes. Our room had a private bath and everything was absolutely clean. The beds were very comfortable so that we wanted to stay longer in this cosy home.
