Everything was modern and clean. I especially loved the bathroom (mirror lighting was great for makeup and shower pressure was nice). I loved that breakfast was included and it wasn't just cereal and drip coffee, you had latte machines and bacon and juice! Everything and everyone was great :) The location was also great, walking distance from everything including the train station.

I have only good things to say about this lovely hotel. The rooms are clean, spacious and comfortable. The bathroom is excellent. The rooms are quiet. There is a very nice range of teas and coffee. Bottled water and biscuits are provided. Breakfast is extremely good. The staff are helpful and kind. Very convenient location. Lots of nice places to eat and drink nearby. I have stayed here twice. I will certainly be returning on my next trip to Inverness. Highly recommended.

FAQs about hotels in Inverness

Gateway to the Highlands and Loch Ness

A jewel with historic buildings and charming streets, Inverness is surrounded by a typical Scottish Highland landscape. It is located 10 km from Loch Ness, along the mouth of the Ness River and the Moray Firth coast. It is regarded as the northernmost city in the United Kingdom, and capital of the Highlands.

Take a walk around the Old Town, visit St Andrew’s Cathedral, and make a stopover in the charming Victorian Market. The Old High St Stephen's Church is the oldest building in town, and has been a religious site since pre-Christian times.

The Inverness Castle overlooks the river and is nowadays the seat of the Sheriff Court. A hotel in Inverness city centre is ideal to enjoy the different cultural and recreational activities in town.

Watch the Atlantic salmon jumping out the river near the Ness Islands, and try to catch a glimpse of the famous monster of Loch Ness. The Cairngorms National Park is 40 km away, and Chanonry Point is the best spot to watch dolphins, just 24 km away.

I spent most of my time in Inverness doing day trips to other locations (Isle of Sky, Cairngorms, etc.). I spent a little time in the city and enjoyed it. Definitely liked the HoHo bus (did that in each city... great to get some history as well as the lay of the land). There is more to do in Inverness itself... I'm not a bit "city" person, but would definitely have enjoyed a bit more time. XOKO Bakehouse was definitely a favorite spot to pick up breakfast. Stayed at the Black Isle Bar and Rooms... great value and amazing pizza! Tried to eat at The Mustard Seed but their ovens went out before the main course and ended up picking up some salmon for dinner at Kool Runnings which was great fun and very good.

Fabulous city, easy going , feels safe and friendly even late on a Saturday night. Eden Court Theatre , great venue saw the Budapest Cafe Orchestra there who were brilliant entertertainers. Lovely River Walk along tbe Ness. Beautiful Botanic Gardens with great cafe. The Glen Mhor Distillery and Brewery was a great place to chill out and listen to live music. Great beer and whiskey too, taster platters were amazing. The Jamaican restaurant called Kool Runnings served up a fab goat curry and a very much appreciated Mojito 👌

Your museum was excellent. Unfortunately some sites were closed. The pubs were great fun. The food was good, the people were friendly, and the music was great. The most amazing thing is that we could walk everywhere and we never felt uncomfortable. The signing was easy to follow.

It should be the best accommodation during our 10 days family vacation in Scotland. The room is spacious with classy but simple decoration. Bed and quilt are offer the best comfortable and make you a very good sleep. The hotel is infront of the river bank, and you can park your car outside the hotel after 6pm free. Last thing I wish to say is the house keeper, Leah, she is very nice and keen to offer helps. Thank you again for a very nice place. All my family members are happy with the stay.
