Kew Gardens Hotel is only 150 metres from Kew Gardens and 2 minutes’ walk from the nearest Tube Station. It features boutique-style rooms, a gastro-pub and restaurant. Right on top of the tube station and Kew Gardens, staff were so friendly and welcoming and rooms were clean and well equipped! Could not ask for more really
Kew was lovely and well placed for us. We went to Richmond Shopping Centre which is the next train stop over from Kew Garden Station. Plenty of places to eat and shop. Kew itself is a lovely place to explore with plenty of green spaces and there is a trail by Kew Pier which allows you to walk to Richmond Park. There is also a children's playground area, Westerly Ware, if you have children on your trip. We took the train into London too so definitely a good place to stay for quiet after the busyness of Central London.
The Christmas lights have allocated timed entrance but they don’t mind you getting there early! Kew Gardens is a direct line straight on the embankment and costs less than £3! Definitely worth a visit!
The restaurant and its staff were excellent at Dinner and Breakfast. The room was comfortable and quiet. It was a very convenient place to stay for visiting Kew Gardens and for its short distance from Kew Gardens Station. There are some very good local shops including the Organic Delicatessen 'Aroma Organic' next door which offered friendly service, hot and cold drinks and cakes. Because we arrived when the Hotel Restaurant was closed the lady there offered to make us cheese rolls with their onion chutney which were delicious. After collecting our daughter from the Station we went back and had hot chocolate (with free cakes because it was Kew Sparkle!)If you go to the hotel do visit 'Aroma Organics'
The gardens are spectacular, and preserve our heritage, the various buildings house unusual fauna and are a delight to view. My wife and I visited the spectacular evening Chihuly exhibition, just wonderful.
We came to visit the Botanical gardens which were magnificent and staying so close at the Kew Gardens Hotel made it all the better. The fact the hotel is able to give a parking street permit to allow you to walk to the Victoria gate and visit the gardens all day was an excellent bonus.
Kew Village is ideally situated for both Kew Gardens and the London Underground for journeys into the city. There are a number of restaurants which offer a wide range of dishes but I do recommend booking a table. Fortunately we were accommodated by choosing a pavement table which turned out to be both an excellent way to start out stay and an opportunity for an equally excellent meal.I Kew Green and the Thames are within walking distance of you are seeking an alternative to Lee Gardens whilst the vibrant centre of Richmond is a short bus ride away
We lived in Kew for 2 years so to find a rental in that area was brilliant for us. This home was very nice. The photos were the same as what we found it. Nice quiet neighborhood & 10 min walk to the Kew Gardens train station.
The location for us was perfect for visiting Kew Gardens. The staff were superb and made us feel very relaxed. The breakfast was great and set us up for the day. We enjoyed our stay at Kew Gardens Hotel.
