Offering free WiFi and garden views, Strome Beag is an accommodations set in Tobermory. This apartment has a garden and free private parking. Lynn was an excellent host, nothing was too much trouble. Thank you for making our stay perfect in every way. The accommodation is just perfect and met our needs being a family of four. We are looking forward to staying at Strome Beag again next year.
Located in Tobermory in the Isle of Mull region, Glenelg provides accommodations with free WiFi. Guests at the bed and breakfast can enjoy a à la carte breakfast. Very welcoming hostess. Delicious breakfasts. Lovely accommodation with endless thoughtful little touches.
Firstly they refused that we had booked! Then the food - takeaway boxes! Then eating with people in their SOILED roadwork? clothes! Is that hygienic? Then refusal for breakfast because we were over by 20 seconds. If the chef left at 0930, we would have seen him/her leaving but he departed well before the breakfast time was over. The price £130 !! You can stay in a PROPER hotel with full dining facilities, room service and breakfast on till 11 am on a Saturday
The road into Kilchoan was interesting and challenging in places. It is a lovely place and an ideal spot to catch the Staffa Tours boats as it is their last port of call and their first drop-off. We ate at the Kilchoan Hotel where the food was delicious, although sometimes limited in choices.
I was thrilled to visit Mingary Castle, but what I liked best of all were the people I met in Kilchoan. They were all so very nice. The weather could have been a little better, but in the grand scheme of things made little difference.
We have friends there and we had come for their wedding, however it is the second time we have been and we will be coming again probably later in the year. Kilchoan is lovely and very relaxing, we love the peace and quiet.
Don't expect anything fancy but this hotel is clean, the staff are very pleasant and helpful and the breakfast, though limited is lovely. Other meals are what you would expect from a functional mid market hotel perfectly good without being special. the location is great for exploring Ardnamurchan. It is quiet and restful. In summary good value for money.
The scenery and peacefulness, with the loudest noise being bird song, sheep and the sea. Easy to find walks from bungalow, to Lighthouse where good cafe (!) and Sanna Bay. Short car trip to Kilchoan for milk, bread etc and for pub meal or takeaway at the Kilchoan Hotel. Narrow roads but lots of passing places clearly marked.
