Located within 1.4 mi of Mothecombe Beach, The Dolphin Inn in Kingsbridge features a number of amenities including a restaurant, a bar and a garden. All rooms in the inn are equipped with a kettle. We stayed here a couple or so years back and we’re glad we returned a couple of days ago. The Dolphin is a quirky little country pub which is now under the new, but very experienced management who are working hard for their customers. Given the low price they’re charging for rooms – which admittedly could do with a little TLC, you’d have to describe it as a bargain. Beautiful location and the high calibre of everyone we met, including the young barman, I’m amazed with some of the more negative reviews. Perhaps these people would be better suited to staying in a hotel which will charge them 3 times as much for night’s stay and not in an old country pub. We were made to feel welcome from the minute we walked through the door into the flagstoned bar. Nothing seemed too much trouble – and we’re not easily impressed. The Dolphin is a great place to stay where you’ll be made very welcome, and which serves great food and drinks. We’ll definitely see you again. Good luck.
