Perfect. I rarely leave reviews but this place really deserves a positive review. It's perfectly located, everything was spotlessly clean, everything was brand new, the staff couldn't do enough and the room was airy and spacious. Very very good value too.

I was born there so biased, left in '98 but have family so go back often. Hull is a city with great history, largely forgotten because it isn't on the way to anywhere. Like any city, there are good and bad bits. It's one of the friendliest places on earth. People will talk to you and are welcoming. Its a good place to base a visit and explore the area.

My 3rd visit to the city and I still have much to explore...
My 3rd visit to the city and I still have much to explore there. History, culture and the sea. The locals are friendly, polite and often up for a chat. The Humber Bridge, Ferens Art Gallery, The Deep, walking the coast and the docks, the George Hotel in the Land of Green Ginger (great pub, amazing prices), Coffee Pot in Hepworth Arcade, Grafton Hotel (for Paul Heaton fans), walking the rivers, Larkin's Bar in Newlands Avenue, the University and Cottingham, Wilberforce Museum (stunning and free!), Paragon Interchange and Pearson Park are my go to places.
Food - Greggs (great coffee and slices), fish and chips in Princes Avenue, Bon Appetit in English Street by the docks. The best veggie fry up I've had in ages. Great coffee and tea, great prices and marvellous service. The Royal Cafe - Anlaby Road and the Admiral of the Humber, a Wetherspoon's just down from there.
Hull really is a great place to visit.

Traffic gridlock makes this a hard city to "like."
Traffic gridlock makes this a hard city to "like." Should it take 32 mins to drive 6 miles from the hotel to the centre?
On another route why is there a 7 mile stretch of dual carriageway on the approach to the centre with an average speed camera enforced 40mph temp speed limit and no work taking place.
Nah Hull is really not visiting.

The Fruit Market area is exceptional with wonderful eateries and a fantastic vibe.
Loved running along the Humber at dusk and dawn as the light was mesmerising
The Humber Sea restaurant in Fruit Market best avoided - over priced and narrow flavour profile of little discernment.
Go for the early morning coffee and pain au chocolat at the only bakery open in Fruit Market.
Thieving Harries cafe exceptional. Real retro taps that will remind you of chipping frost from thin paned windows as a youth.
Stay away from new town at night - full of yobs on lager and blobby people with an air of violence and cirrhosis filling the tepid air.
The old town however is bristling with characters and high quality beer with pork scratchings for those with insufficient cholesterol.
A great getaway - and remember - chilli con carne without any chilli is only a plate full of mince !

Dinner was good room was good but breakfast was very poor...
Dinner was good room was good but breakfast was very poor the bacon had dried up the rashers was stuck together, the mushrooms had dried out and looked disgusting, disappointed that fresh fruit and cereal were not on display no fresh juices or water I had to go to the bar and request while my breakfast was getting cold.
The location for our needs for the city centre and the marina were perfect. The free parking in the retail centre really helped and also brought them a little trade. The staff couldn’t have been any better, helpful, friendly and welcoming plus professional. Don’t Judge a book by it’s cover. We had other arrangements in place so didn’t sample the food but the place was full of diners.
Needed a hotel room near Hull and this came up as a cheap and cheerful recommendation.
Room was as expected above a pub, quite noisy but nothing a pair of earplugs didn't sort out.
Breakfast was standard fayre, the filter coffee was terrible but the staff are so friendly and cheerful.
Good meal in the pub downstairs and they offer guests 20% off
All in all it was a solid 7/10
Staff went above and beyond for our needs, the hotel was immaculate couldn’t fault it at all, the breakfast was delicious well worth the money. I would recommend staying here if visiting Hull best hotel around
