- the bathroom was huge and we received White Company toiletries (that was a nice touch)

The presentation and quality of dinner was fantastic. It’s the only reason we would consider returning to Kintail Lodge.

Room was good and spacious. Bathroom was clean and staff was welcoming. Location was great near a free parking and a fast EV charger. Check-in and Check-out experience was smooth.

It’s a self check in property so one needs to be hands on. While most of the things were there; perhaps some sort of human touch could have been better. Didn’t get to see any staff. It was all ‘read the instructions and do’. Breakfast was kept in the room and that was a new experience. Could have been better if breakfast would have been served

Easy access to bridge over to the Isle of Skye.
Easy access to bridge over to the Isle of Skye. Very friendly townsfolk. Can recommend The Kyle Hotel for staying in when visiting. Room and ensuite were immaculately clean. It is also very good value for money food wise and staff very pleasant.

I absolutely loved the location.
I absolutely loved the location. If you enjoy spectacular scenery and like the outdoors then this is a great place to be in. The morning breakfast was included and was wonderful.
We relied on public transportation, that was a bad idea. Having your own car is absolutely essential.

We stayed one night in Kyle of Lochalsh, really just so we could get a quick look at the Isle of Skye before continuing on our travels. Lovely place to stay. We did have a quick drive into Skye, which maybe wasn't really worth it. We have enjoyed our driving around mainland Scotland more...

There are so many different things to access from Kyle of Lochalsh. As well as Skye, there are many tourist attractions and beauty spots on the mainland too. We could have done more on Skye, as well as more things close by.

The hotel itself is well over priced, and the rooms we had had a lovely view bushes and gas storage tank. I have stayed in better hotels for up to a third of the price. Talking to other guests they were as dissatisfied as we were but like us had no other options.

Relatively expensive compared to other accommodation booked for our 12 day trip. Hotel felt a bit tired and dated. No hairdryer in room and ironing board provided was faulty. Bed was ok but moved too easily if pressed onto. Restaurant was full when we arrived at 7pm, so ate in the bar. Food was ok, but nothing to write home about and adequate selection. Would select another option for a future trip.

Superb location close to Skye Bridge with wonderful views across the water to Skye. Traditional Scottish hotel - room was comfortable and spacious. Very nice evening meal and hearty breakfast the following morning. We were well looked after by staff and very much enjoyed our stay. Thank you.
Balmacara Hotel's exterior will not beat your eyes, but inside there is a real 4* hotel you will like. Great service, spacious rooms (at least mine!), very good restaurant, and free parking.
Good location to explor Skye and neighbourhood.
Fabulous and private location on the step of great walks. Kitchen was well stocked for self catering. the hosts were communicative in advance with directions and there was an excellent guide book for the house and local area. Very clean.
Great location! Warm, cosy and clean house. Perfect for exploring the area and Isle of Skye. Easy to find and park in. Great facilities, everything you need for self catering.
