Located 7.5 mi from Ladybank and 40 mi from Edinburgh, Downfield House & Garden features free WiFi access and free private parking. Some units have a seating area to relax in after a busy day. In the middle of the countryside, bit hard to find as there was fog, but the place was lovely, very authentic
Featuring a restaurant, Pitlessie Inn and Pantry is located in Cupar. All rooms have a flat-screen TV with cable channels and a private bathroom. At the hotel, the rooms have a closet. We had a fabulous two night stay here. Rooms were spotless and felt very secure in terms of Covid precautions. Food was outstanding. Breakfast was excellent and we also ate in the restaurant one night. Pitlessie is a quiet location, however it’s very central. Close to Fife coastal walk and places like Anstruther, Elie and Crail which are worth a visit. Highly recommend.
This converted 18th century coaching inn is at the foot of the Lomond Hills and is an ideal place to stay when visiting the Kingdom of Fife. The staff were really friendly, the food was excellent, the location was tremendous and the hotel were able to accommodate us for a 2nd night unexpected stay. I would certainly recommend it for anyone wishing to have a nice relaxing break in a comfortable hotel.

Located just outside Cupar, Cantrip Cottage features a garden and free WiFi. Each accommodations at the 3-star bed and breakfast has garden views, and guests can enjoy access to a terrace. Breakfast was excellent. Owner very attentive. Clearly very motivated to please guests.
Excellent bed and breakfast facility in a rural setting in a converted farm. Well appointed rooms, extremely comfortable bed and excellent bathroom facilities with both bath and separate shower. The owners were friendly, responsive and helpful in accommodating a number of requests relating to staggered check ins, dietary requirements and additional guidance information on directions etc. As we were attending a family wedding in a historic setting several miles away the location was ideal and we all had a terrific sleep and wonderful full Scottish breakfast to recharge our batteries before heading off.
We stayed in lodges 1 and 3. We were greeted by Kate the owner when we arrived. Lodges were modern, clean and Lodge 1 had a lounge with cooking facilities. The view from our bedroom over looked a field. The field had a horse that came up to the hedge near the window. It really is out in the countryside. Highly recommend. It's a little gem.
Ladybank near Cupar, Scotland was close by Downfield House and Garden. To get to Downfield House involves a country road and a 25% hill climb, Then a rough farm track to the house. But Mr Tooley the owner is most helpful, and kind, The bed in our room was very, very comfortable. although the house is not disabled friendly. But the view from our bedroom window was great. only problem we had was no mobile phone signal. So a blessing in disguise
Lovery old house & clean very welcoming.Owner & staff very helpful & attentive as one guest is a coeliac nothing was to much trouble . Bed very comfy & a good bathroom also a lovely sitting room next door to bedroom. Our stay was very enjoyable
Lovely area . Excellent hosts and accommodation. Everything was great, even our friend Katy the horse. Was sorry I could not stay longer. Recommend this place highly. Pretty much covered most of Fife everywhere is very accessible . The St. Andrews beach is lovely and the harbour at Crail is Devine. Would advise anyone visiting to go to Falkirk to see the Wheel and the Kelpies.
When booking I just needed some where to stay, did not really look at actual place but it was minutes from where I needed to be. Redlands is different, great for exploring, golf walking but marvellous for peace and quiet.
