This converted 16th-century mill cottage is a 30-minute drive from the north Cornish coast, and 20 miles from Tintagel Castle, one of the rumoured locations of King Arthur’s Camelot. A very warm welcome awaits you. Highly recommend the poached eggs for breakfast. Lovely location. Will certainly be back.
Petrol available in the village during normal working hours. Had driven many miles on a nearly empty tank and was much relieved to find it, before the owner closed shop at 7pm on Saturday. A pleasant quiet village, near the main road to Cornwall.
Food was good but expensive , Rooms need upgrading and not clean and tiny televisions and no bedside lamps in our first room .Bar meals were best and lounge pleasant Good for fishing and shooting but on the main road !!

Excellent hotel with very friendly and courteous staff, excellent menu choices including specialities, craft ales and good selection of drinks. Rooms are individual and all very nice, central location excellent for exploring the area.
A stunning Dartmoor village. Perfect for riding and people who enjoy country pursuits such as shooting and fishing. A fab gun 'smith'(?) shop just opposite Arundell Arms run by a charming chap. A bit of English fairytale is Lifton, the people, the architecture and the magic of Dartmoor...
