Situated in one of the oldest streets in Llangollen and a few seconds from the high street, Gales has individual en suite bedrooms. The room was very clean and comfortable. We stopped in the hotel bar for a drink before dinner, and their Sangria was delicious - would be worth going back just for that! Very friendly staff and excellent location.

Set in 8 acres of idyllic countryside, this charming country hotel offers free Wi-Fi and a large garden area. The market town of Llangollen is just 1.5 miles away. Lovely settee and coffee table at bottom of the four poster bed to comfortably sit and watch TV in the evening. Super view from the room window. Nice big tea cups and beautiful four poster bed. Very quiet location with the sounds of nature all round and no traffic. Loved seeing the spring lambs jumping in the fields and see the sun rise and peak through the hills on the frosty morning. Beautiful destination for a short break. Walking around is not a problem . Scenery stunning and many good restaurants and bars for evenings out. Canal trip over the aqueduct a must, and also if you get the chance and you are taking the kids they would love the vintage train trips. Very enjoyable short break.
Llangollen was the base for us to go walking to the Aquaduct, Valle Crucas and Castle Dinas. Access around Llangollen was easy and very enjoyable. The Town centre had plenty of restaurants and pubs. We choose to eat in the Cornmill definetly recommended. We suggest you book in advance as very popular and we were only able to book for 8.15pm
Beautiful place with plenty to do from walks by the river or canal to rides on the steam train, you can even take a turn at driving the train for £5! Lots of lovely shops with Welsh crafts for sale. Don’t forget to sample a traditional Oggie followed by Bara Bryth or Welsh cakes.
Lovely town especially being right on the river so very scenic Especially Horseshoe Falls and the Canal we did really enjoy a night out we went to the Deeside Bistro which is right next to the river the food was excellent and the staff were amazing thank you Roberto
Great little town, plenty to see & do during a short stay. Lots of restaurants & pubs to visit on rainy days. Visit the Aquaduct, horseshoe falls & the horse drawn canal boat trip. We had great couple of days despite the rain!

Beautiful decor, cosy and warm, friendly host who went out of her way to make us welcome. Feels like a 5 start hotel luxury. Soft fluffy towels, complimentary toiletries, everything you need in the kitchen including a welcome hamper. The secret garden is gorgeous with views over the river, also from the bedroom. Smart TVs with Netflix and Prime Video. Lovely country kitchen, comfy bed and sofa. It was a perfect winter get away with lovely walks in and around Llangollen. Lovely places to eat, drink and shop. We'll be returning!
Great location in the centre of Llangollen with ample parking and lovely gardens overlooking the River Dee, with tables that you can sit at while enjoying a drink from the bar. It's not a modern hotel but that was something we enjoyed about it. It's a bit battered around the edges but it makes up for that by being comfortable and full of character. We will definitely be going back.
Llangollen
Great location, clean, comfortable and excellent value for money. The owners made contact with us via booking.com app and email, check in was easy, there was parking right outside. We will definitely be returning to Llangollen Town House, thank you for a wonderful stay! A refreshing change to be able to book a whole house rather than just a hotel room for twice the price.

Our beautifully furnished suite in Gamelin above the Llangollen marina just five minutes walk from the town centre had both front and back windows which revealed glorious views of scenic mountains. The quality of the accommodation was bettered only by the generous hospitality of Mayuri who unobtrusively provided advice and a sequence of unexpected tasty offerings
