Ty Mawr at Bethania B&B is set in Llanon and offers a shared lounge and a garden. Wonderful hosts, Griz & Colleen made us so welcome from the very first minute. Even Buddy, the dog, gave us a heartfelt welcome hugs♥️ Wonderful, clean, cosy farmstay. Superbly comfortable bed. Breakfast was amazing.....lovingly cooked by Colleen. Very Lucky to have found this B&B on our drive up to Snowdonia:)
Llanon deserves a visit from people exploring our beautiful Welsh costal areas. Views are incredible from the costal road and even better when you are there on the beaches. The local people are very friendly and are willing to help in any way possible to get you to your location. Remember your Sat Nav is only an aid to get you to your location and can occasionally take you off on some narrow farm road if you don't know the area, however there are plenty of people that will put you on the right path. There are lots of restaurants and watering holes in and around Llanon that are worth a visit. This is for anyone that likes to explore by car, bus, cycle or walking, a must for your bucket list. Enjoy, we did!
Lovely places nearby. Aberaeron harbour. Cardigan. New Life Church Cardigan. Mwnt is really nice with the beach and mountain. Llangranog is well worth the visit as they have a lovely cafe with delicious ice cream.
The local people are extremely friendly and helpful. Llanon has the basics, a shop, pub and even a fish and chip shop, a bus service, a beautiful church (St Ffraed) and best of all, easy access to a beach with a wonderful sunset view. From here there is easy driving access along the coast to Aberystwyth and beyond, and down to New Quay and beyond as well as inland to some lovely towns and villages. You can walk from your door along the coast path and up into the hills behind LLanon for lovely views. You can easily reach the red kite feeding station from here by car - a magical experience, we saw probably 100 red kites come in. From New Quay harbour we watched dolphins for a half hour or so, again a short drive from LLanon. For dog owners, there are many dog friendly beaches and establishments nearby. Our favourite place to eat was a short drive away - The Halfway Inn, Pisgah, nr Aberystwyth. The meal here was a highlight of our holiday, they offer a fantastic vegan menu (as well as a great regular menu) and the staff and service are second to none, great value for money too. Highly recommend!
