WOW. Breakfast was beyond expectation. Absolutely wonderful , every ingredient cooked fresh and to perfection by Pauline. Also a lovely display of fresh fruit and cereal. etc Pauline served a magnificent breakfast . Pauline was a WONDERFUL HOST. helpful, attentive, accommodating and could not do enough for guests. Thank you Pauline. We will definately be returning, for another of your magnificent breakfasts . Thank you Pauline for looking after our Bikes, we really appreciated this. 100 % exceptional host.

They were very friendly, and great hosts! A lovely basket of breakfast choices and fruit was there when we entered. The small space is nicely divided and decorated in a charming way. The beds are comfortable. Don’t forget to duck when going through the hobbit door!

This is truly a hidden gem in a quiet and forested corner of Argyll. The accommodation was spotless and comfortable, and full of little extras and surprises (homemade cake!) that made us feel welcome and very pampered. I would absolutely stay here again!

    Terrific little town, quieter than nearby popular places. Lovely waterfront lawns & seating. Fabulous gift shop & book shop & very busy but delicious fish & chips. Crinan canal on edge of town for walks. A delightful gem, worth a stop.

    Beautiful Loch views. There was a Coop for your shopping & also other little shops too. There was a lovely fish & chip shop that had a little cafe too. The food was lovely & nothing was too much for them. Most of the people were friendly as well.

    Not a lot to do . But as we used for a base was ok. Also not many places to get an evening meal .I Indian small sit in . Did takeaway. I Chinese Takeaway, Fish/Italian cafe open until 3pm reopen for evening meals 5-9. Few shops Chemist x 2 Co-op

    Scenery, friendly locals. Beautiful Kilmory Park, interesting ancient sites nearby, variety of shops, 1 large supermarket. Only downside was ordered a bag of chips at local take away, paid £3.50 and then told the chips would be ready in 25 minutes. However, as a tourist this amused me more than inconvenienced me.

    Lochgilphead is a very attractive small town.

    Lochgilphead is a very attractive small town. It is also the best base I think for exploring the whole of mid-Argyll. Road distances in Argyll tend to be long - but Lochgilphead is only a few miles from the star attractions of Knapdale (wildlife, scenery, boating), Kilmartin (Europe's greatest concentration of ancient monuments), the island of Gigha and the Kintyre coast. And Tarbert, with several ferry connections to the islands and Cowal, is a very quick drive away, as are the National Trust gardens at Crarae. Inveraray is also an easy day trip.

    Pauline the host was very helpful and enthusiastic, explaining all of the timings and helping us in with our luggage after the drive from Glasgow. The property is conveniently located for visiting Lochgilphead, an easy walk, and the surrounding areas. The room and bathroom was neat and tidy and the WIFI was good. Breakfast was tasty, plentiful and nicely served by Pauline. The location was very quiet and there was a lovely view across the garden.

    The hotel is a fine building which has been carefully renovated and decorated to a high standard. Greeted by the owner, who showed us to our room and chatted to us. Time arranged for breakfast, great choice and service. Very comfortable, pleasant and clean room with view of the garden. Really comfortable bed. Mini-bar with fresh milk for tea/coffee was a nice touch.
