There are plenty of places to eat or have a drink, lots of lovely shops of all kinds to browse. Lymington is right on the coast, so things going on to watch with boats of all kinds to see. A very interesting part of the country.
We were in Lymington for twelve nights. We had a very good meal at the Haven and at the Kingshead. We enjoyed our stay at Elmers Court Time share Solent View (owenrs ). We used the pool which was at a lovely temperature. The two massages we booked for our sone and daughter in law were a disap
Local people very helpful, loved the charity shops - both these and other shops, I found the staff all very friendly, chatty and helpful too. Waitrose was just across road where I staying so I popped in there to eat late one afternoon. The ladies serving were extremely nice and helpful. Quite a few restaurants are closed on a Monday and the main road with the shops is one long hill. In the Summer months there is a bus which connects with two others which cover the New Forest and you can get a rover ticket for the day - recommended. The train station at the bottom of the town gives you one stop to Brockenhurst, forest ponies, donkeys etc.
I would definitely include a Saturday so you can see the market. There are some lovely shops, great charity shops too and plenty of places to eat and drink. The views from the harbour and marina are lovely on a sunny day.
Lymington is a lovely Georgian town with lots of places to eat including a new vegan cafe called The Tinker's Granddaughter. The Saturday market offers a huge range of products to buy. Apart from coastal and harbour walks, there are lovely walks on the nearby New Forest. The Sunday Service at the Parish Church was well attended and offers a warm welcome to visitors.
Great 'Getaway' stay/break-in clean, practical and comfortable property, for the three of us. Within and close by The New Forest and Bournemouth/ Poole. Refreshing break in great surroundings!
Lymington
The B&B was located very close to both the shops in the High Street and to the main road leading north and south of Lymington. The breakfast "Full English" was excellent and gave us a great start to the day. The room and bathroom were spacious and bigger than we could have expected. There was a large car park in front. In all honesty , it was the best B&B we've ever stayed at and would highly recommend it. If available , we'll try to stay there whenever we visit Lymington again.
Clean, spacious and comfortable room. Breakfast and evening meal very good. Glad we booked a table because restaurant and bar was full, even on a Thursday evening. Staff exceptionally polite, helpful and efficient with smiles too! Easy half-mile walk into Lymington high street, and very convenient for Isle of Wight Ferry. Would definitely stay again.
Lymington
The property was clean and bright with friendly helpful staff. The breakfast was good. It is only a short walk from the town centre. Finally, it is a dog friendly hotel and although I didn’t take my dog, it was lovely to be able to fuss the resident dog Charlie, who was more than happy to oblige.
The staff was very welcoming and friendly. Being situated in the centre of Lymington with car parking provided was ideal for us. We enjoyed our walks around the town and down to the harbour and the Saturday market was a bonus. Both evening meals were delicious.
We had been to a funeral and parked the car to get a taxi to Lymington and the staff were so kind and helpful and offered to drive us if we couldn't get a taxi. All the staff were very efficient and friendly. Comfortable and quiet.
