A small town with a very interesting museum about life in the New Forest through the ages. Many and varied eateries, and independent shops. A short stroll to the edge of the town is the entrance to acres of the New Forest with plenty of walks on well laid out paths enabling views of grazing ponies.

there are plenty of good restaurants in Lyndhurst but what spoils it is the constant traffic although the hotel we stayed was just off the main road which was ok .If you are going to go cycling you need to stay outside Lyndhurst as you cannot cycle through Lyndhurst

Very convenient for visiting Beaulieu Motor Museum which was a very enjoyable day out. The Bell Inn was a perfect place to stay & our room must have been upgraded as it was a large comfortable bedroom rather than the small one we had booked. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay & had we been golfers we would have taken advantage of the on site golf course.

Great hotel! 5* service and room. Owners very kind and attentive to needs of guests. Food top quality. Has breakfast there. Hot tub was wonderful after long day of cycling. Shower strength is excellent. Very comfortable mattress.
Great location to go straight into forest and 5-10 mins walk from Lyndhurst village. There's also a lovely family run Italian restaurant called La Pergola 1 minute walk away which is so convenient.
Perfectly located in Lyndhurst- quiet and easy to access. Short walk to the shops and new forest and only 10 min drive to Paultons Park. The staff were helpful and friendly, paying particular attention to our 4 year old daughter and making her feel very welcome. Indoor pool was great and the whole hotel was clean and tidy. The room was spacious and ideal of a family. Food was of a high quality. Will definitely be returning!
Located in the middle of Lyndhurst the hotel was a great base for exploring the New Forest. The staff were very friendly and the room was comfortable and had everything we needed. We also had dinner in the hotel one night and the food was delicious.
