Within 2 acres of beautiful landscaped grounds, The Old Hall Country House is a traditional 16th-century timber-framed building. The Old Hall, located in a lovely, quiet setting in Madeley, is a beautiful and atmospheric Tudor building that has been expertly and tastefully modernised. Our room, which overlooked the extensive garden, was of a good size, well-equipped and had a comfortable bed; our space also included a useful anteroom and a fine bathroom with a roomy shower. Our host turned out to be an extraordinary and colourful character: friendly, helpful, obliging, enthusiastic and very engaging, albeit at times a touch overwhelming and occasionally distracted by matters elsewhere. Nonetheless we enjoyed our stay very much and The Old Hall is certainly highly recommended.
Featuring garden views, Yew Tree Bungalow, Onneley, Cheshire has accommodations with a patio and an electric tea pot, around 25 miles from Alton Towers. The bungalow was homely and cosy, great location. Tidy, clean, organised and had everything you could need for a small getaway.
A very comfortable stay in a house full of history. The breakfast was superb. Our room had a lovely view of the garden and the bed was really comfortable. The hosts really had thought of everything and the room was appointed with everything you could possibly need. There was even a decanter of sherry in our room. A real gem!
What a lovely friendly place to stay. Everyone we met said “Good morning!” with a smile. The walk around the village was interesting; the map at the Old Hall had been a useful source of information for walking
The welcome, nothing was too much trouble. The cleanliness of the room and facilities. The hotel was beautifully decorated for christmas. The little touches such as the sherry and chocolates in the room. A very good selection at breakfast. We would definitely come back to visit again.
