Manchester has everything for all. Good for culture, museums, art galleries, and a brilliant concert hall. There are great venues for gigs of all sizes. There is a wide variety of shops , some large names and plenty of little shops in the Northern Quarter. There are many places to eat , we love the Art Gallery down from Piccadilly Gardens for good tea/coffee and scones!!!! Also the Rowntree Care in the Arndale Centr you get a good breakfast inc tea and toast for £7.29 , and have prints from The cast of Coronation St prints looking down at you while you eat. There is a free bus originating from Piccadily train station which has lots of stops. You can get an idea where shops and landmarks are. The trams are also excellent.
Unfortunately we were on the 3rd floor at the back of the hotel, and at around 04.00 each night ( Friday/Saturday ) we were woken by people shouting....even talking loud, and cars beeping, this is not what I expect from a 5* hotel, the black out blind let light in ( should be on tracks ), the mini bar only had 2 bottles of still water in, excuse was " we haven't stocked them up since covid ". Surely it would be better to stock them up and keep people in the room? bath robes thin, slippers like paper, dirty carpet, no stationary not even a pen and pad of paper. Rant over....to round it up the place was nice, but in our opinion NOT 5*, a Premier Inn would have been better, especially with their goodnight sleep policy.
It’s the best for sport, music, theatre of all kinds, great food, historic museums and buildings. The centre is easy to get to by tram and small enough to explore by foot. People are friendly and funny. It’s a great city! Miles better then Leeds or Birmingham!!!
It’s a great city to visit and really easy to navigate your way around. The tram system is inexpensive and fairly easy to understand. The locals were friendly and happy to give directions whenever we asked. Shopping at the Arndale Centre and the Trafford Centre is a must for shopaholics and bargain hunters. Food outlets are plentiful. If travelling for the football, both United and City are easy to reach particularly by tram.
Hotel close to Playhouse Theatre. Great if you are traveling to a show at the Playhouse. Car park near the hotel (only a 5 minute walk). Plenty of bars and food near. Only stayed one night. Breakfast OK. Rooms are good and quite considering right on main road.
The city as a whole is vibrant with lots to offers for all age groups. Dining options are plenty in and around the city centre with lots of bars and places to socialise. Shopping can be done with lots of spots and amazing brands dotted around the city centre which makes it easy to shop. One thing to look out for is parking as that can be hard to find and the parking spots which NCP and Q-Park offer can be extortionate so useful to look beforehand for cheaper options and on street parking if possible. As a whole, the city is FABULOUS! :)
I've used this hotel a few times when just needing to be in Manchester for 1 night, as it tends to be the cheapest hotel in the city centre and the quality is generally consistent. The rooms are very basic but clean, and the staff are always extremely friendly and helpful. It's a 10 minute walk to Ancoats and the NQ, and the New Islington tram stop is just over the road. There are a few car parks within a 5 minute walk, which are fairly affordable (for Manchester) at about £6 per 24 hours.
I didn't do much research on the hotel as it was a last minute booking but i feel that we got very lucky with the random selection. The whole concept/theme of the hotel is fantastic and it's delivered to a really high degree of quality, escpecially considering the reasonable price point. Bonus - the great staff make it feel like your staying in a hotel 10x the cost. Hotel Brooklyn will be my 1st choice should i stay over in Manchester with my wife again.
Everything. The location is central and so perfectly positioned to visit Manchester. The staff on Reception were superb. Polite, knowledgeable, efficient and very personable. The room was clean and provided everything we needed. We were also able to check in at 11:30 and leave our luggage in the room. A real bonus. Continental breakfast was great. Plenty of choice. Plenty of tables to choose from. Overall, a hotel we would highly recommend.
The hotel receptionist at the time (I think he was called Adam) was absolutely amazing. He gave us some amazing advice on how best to get to Manchester city centre and which part of the Christmas market to aim for. The spa was amazing, and just what we needed for the short break. The room was small, but catered to our needs as the bed was extremely comfortable. Would highly recommend staying here.
Great hotel with a car park attached which was very convenient given the proximity to Manchester - most hotels don’t have car parks in the city centre. Booked a room with no windows (best value) but when we checked in they had put us in a large room with windows. Really clean and comfortable, gorgeous bathroom, great value for money. Would definitely recommend and stay again.
My partner and I were so pleased to have an amazing view in such a nice room at a great location too! The room, bathroom, and the rest of the hotel were very clean and felt luxurious. I also feel the price is about right so the next time I'm in Manchester I'll definitely consider a return visit!
It was one of the cheaper hotels in Manchester but at the same time too expensive for what it was, it is very dated and basic, thought it should be much much cheaper as it needs updating. I think it only gets away with being that price as it’s close to the city centre. Has a fan in the bedrooms though.
Manchester
just steps away from Manchester Piccadilly (the rail link to London), the Gay Village and the trendy Northern Quarter this property has friendly staff, indoor and outdoor dining options, fabulous cocktails and a breakfast bar and large hotel rooms with comfortable mattresses and large walk in showers
We like the Novotel brand, and this Manchester city centre location did not disappoint. Stayed over to visit the Xmas markets, and while these were just about ok, the hotel has a great central location and very close to Manchester Picadilly train station, and China Town for our evening meal.
Hotel was in a good location, only a few minutes walk from Manchester Oxford Road. The staff were incredibly friendly and were happy to deal with any issues I had. Overall the rooms were well maintained and everything was in place as expected. The beds were comfy and seemed clean.
Fantastic city centre location with its own gym and swimming pool. Very comfortable, clean and warm and the staff were friendly and knowledgeable. We just stayed for one night as we were attending an event but would definitely stay at Castlefield Hotel again if in Manchester.
So helpful to have secure parking under hotel, this is rare in my experience in manchester. And a reasonable price for parking. Loved being able to make my own hot waffle at breakfast. I'm sure its a pain for staff as its messy but I enjoyed it.
Salford, Manchester
Aparthotel is ideally situated in Manchester city centre, within walking distance of everything you could need. The hotel facilities are outstanding, the staff are friendly and attentive and the rooms are spacious and well equipped.
Good location in Manchester within walking distance of shops and the arena. Parking close by and hotel give a 25% off voucher towards the cost so got 24 hours parking for £13.50 in a city centre. Easy check in, comfortable room.
Very clean. Very friendly and accommodating, very good value for such a central location close to all transport links, would definitely visit again if I need a hotel in Manchester again. Nice size room (4 singles).
I like everything. It was very clean and quiet which is what I look for in a hotel. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Thank you for a lovely experience. I will book a stay the next time I am in Manchester.
The hotel in the centre of Manchester, so a great location. Couple of issues with my room, there was a bit of a smell and there was no window in the main bedroom. For the price it was ideal for my needs.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were spacious and there are buses outside the hotel which goes to Manchester City Centre. Good place to stay with family.

The main reason was the kitchen/living room for the cost of a hotel room in downtown Manchester.
