Motel One Manchester-Royal Exchange 3 stars

Hotel in Manchester City Centre, Manchester

Featuring free WiFi throughout the property, Motel One Manchester-Royal Exchange offers accommodation in Manchester, 400 metres from Deansgate. Guests can enjoy the on-site bar. We stayed at a Motel One in Newcastle a few months ago and now we're hooked! From the moment you enter to the moment you leave, everyone is so damn friendly and helpful. And it doesn't feel fake or put-on or "service-y." They genuinely seem to care about your experience. Gregory at the front desk was a super sleuth and went out of his way to try to find out what brand the beds are! Mystery solved--they're from a German company called Breckle in case anyone else is interested. The rooms themselves aren't huge, but everything in them is nice. The plugs are European so it's nice not having to remember where our one UK plug adapter is. There are the usual amenities in the bathroom and coffee/tea/kettle. The lobby and bar are very chic and it looks and feels waaaaay more expensive than it actually is. We now feel secure that we will have the same good experience in any Motel One that we visit. Next stop: Motel One Glasgow! I imagine I'll be leaving a pretty similar review after our stay there.

FAQs about hotels in Manchester

The Capital of the North

With an industrial past and a modern outlook, the complex fabric of Manchester is interlaced with interesting museums, English pubs and shopping centres.

Dash straight into the luxurious Selfridges and Triangle departments stores before checking out the old-English charm of the Shambles.

Manchester wouldn’t be the same without its 2 famous football clubs and fans can go wild at either of the Old Trafford or City of Manchester Stadiums. Music fans will adore the many shows performed at the Manchester Arena, the largest of its type in Europe, and the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra.

The cultural foundations of this predominantly red-brick city are on display at the Manchester Museum and the People’s History Museum. If art is you preference, the extensive pre-Raphaelite collection at the Manchester Art Gallery is a sight to behold.

Whether you’re flying into Manchester International Airport for business or partying in one of the 500 bars in city, Booking.com’s hotels and apartments can match your accommodation needs.
