We needed a clean, comfortable space to stay while we attended a wedding at the church in the village. The location was perfect and the apartment was just what we needed. The mirrored storage space by the bathroom was particularly useful for wedding make-up, hair-dos etc!
The Hop Barn is located in Staplehurst and offers a bar and a terrace. The property is 45 km from Folkestone, and complimentary private parking is provided. We had a wonderful time at this beautifully converted barn. The accommodation was clean, comfortable, cosy and quiet; just what we wanted. The living area is spacious and well-appointed, with underfloor heating throughout. The wood burner packed quite a punch and provided ample warmth on the chilly winter evening.
We have had contact with Marden for many years for visiting family, hence our stay. The village is nice with shops, pubs, takeaways, church, library, nice places to eat Tandoori is excellent . There is a railway station with trains to London, and other places in between. Bus service also not many a day but useable. Nearest main shops are Maidstone, Tonbridge or Tunbridge Wells and not too far to get to the coast, or places to visit - castles, country parks etc
