Located in Market Weighton, The Apartments features accommodations with free WiFi, a lounge area, a flat-screen TV and a kitchen. Complimentary private parking is available on site. The apartment is modern - a fairly recent conversion/build, and furnished and decorated in a modern style (and with a high standard of cleanliness). Our trip of 4 nights was in autumn and the heating system is splendid - set just right but adjustable too, if needed. Everything wanted is to hand, in all the rooms and we cooked more than we would in non-Covid times: cooker, dishwasher, pots and pans - all very well provided for. We cycle and there was excellent lock-up space at ground level for our bikes. Staying in, in the light of difficult times for eating and drinking out, we had a cosy and comfortable time on the two settees in front of the Smart TV. By the way, the Wolds from Market Weighton offer ace cycling on quiet roads, moderate climbing and great views.
Lovely market town with lots of history, walks, You must pop into Granville’s, The Bay Horse pub restaurant. Excellent food. Wicston Tearooms make excellent breakfast. Very clean and amazing service. The owner very attentive and welcoming.
Small town that has a lot to offer. Plenty of friendly pubs, most have great pub food to offer. Lots of take out or sit in restaurants. Large Tesco and an ALDI. Great central location for York, Hull or Beverley.
The thing I like the most about Market Weighton is the friendliness of the people there, in the shops, on the street, always a cheery and polite welcome. The town itself is a pleasant place to walk around with some interesting and easily accessible little shops.
We only stayed for a short while but the town seems to have lots to offer. We saw very little (one evening), but saw that there were many otherplaces to explore. We ate in a lovely restaurant (Rossini and Damsel) there were others to try.
Market Weighton seemed to us an unremarkable small town that makes a very pleasant place to spend a couple of nights. It is placed perfectly at the edge of the splendid Yorkshire Wolds. Particularly good place for a cycling base: the Wolds are quiet and attractive, with the rolling hills and pleasant historic villages. There can't be many areas of England that offer as little traffic, together with pleasant climbing and dropping roads and attractive views.
A friendly town with interesting history, in the centre of West Yorkshire. There are traditional small businesses (butchers, fruit/vegetables antiques, newsagent, cafes etc) and pubs as well as larger shops. Highly recommended as a base in this beautiful part of England. Very family friendly, safe to walk around, with playing fields, and cycle friendly.
Staff were so lovely and helpful. Bath tub was gorgeous and relaxing.
