Loved staying in this historic, centrally located pub/hotel. Only four rooms you can stay in, so I felt lucky to be able to stay here. It's billed as the most haunted hotel in York, so I thought I was going to be kept awake all night by ghosts -- alas, I slept like a log and no paranormal phenomena (that I'm aware of). Bathroom was surprisingly chic! Breakfast was delicious.

The hotel is within walking distance of the train station, and the center of town. It’s an easy 5 minute walk to York Minster! We had a day stay between London & Edinburgh. We had a wonderful breakfast & the staff was so professional and friendly. It snowed over night (first week in January), so walking was a bit slushy that day.
