This family run guest house is situated in the picturesque Cornish fishing village of Mevagissey and boasts stunning views of the surrounding landscape from most rooms. The walk to the harbour was only five minutes away through lovely narrow streets. The customer service was second to none. The food was great and we were made to feel very welcome from the minute we got there. We were very impressed.
Welcome to 6 The Net Loft, situated just an easy flat 5 minute walk to the Harbor. The property offers a bedroom with a private adjacent bathroom, both situated on the 2nd floor. A wonderful B&B, David and Carol are lovely hosts, breakfast was super, cleanliness and wifi perfect and the attention to detail throughout the stay marvellous.
Situated in Mevagissey, Linton Luxury Holiday Home features free WiFi throughout the property. Boasting luggage storage space, this property also provides guests with a sun terrace. We’ve been on the road for nearly ten days and this was one of two really outstanding places to stay. What did we like? Mike was a fantastic, friendly, well-informed host. He gave us great advice (and yes, we had a lovely couple of hours in Falmouth, thanks for that). The breakfast was unbelievable - so many choices, and what a difference an avocado makes! Fresh fruit salad to go with the muesli and yoghurt, and lots of things to add like walnuts, apricots, dates, figs. The room was a good size, had a lovely outlook, looked so good, and the bed was super comfortable. The shower was new, very clean, and worked beautifully. We just wished we could have stayed longer, much longer!
Popular with guests booking hotels in Mevagissey
a compact villlage with narrow streets ideal for pedestrians but hell for motorists, use the car parks. something magical about the place and has calming influence every time I visit. Feeling down - visit mevagissey , you will not be down for long
The best part was the closeness to the harbour and coastal path. Best restaurant The Sharks Fin lovely fish meals . It is very easy to get round Mevagissey it is very clean with a good range of shops restaurants, fish and chip shop, bakery’s . It was a shame because of COVID everything had to be pre- booked so could not just wander into a pub for a drink.
We loved the Harbour and watching the boats come in and out, also looking around the interesting shops. We ate in the Harbour tavern below us and the Sharksfin both very nice. The roads around the village are narrow for cars but east to walk around. We parked in the .willow car park just outside the village to save driving around the village.Plenty of parking spaces.
Mevagissey is a typical Cornish fishing town and quite scenic in places. However it lacks decent shops and outside cafes and is difficult to navigate by car. Some of the pubs and restaurants were very anti tourists by their attitude but this may be due to Covid restrictions although they have finished when we visited. One pub/cafe would not let us in without masks although everyone in there was not wearing one!
Fantastic place with a great harbour area although some difficulties being able to have a sit down meal. Most of the restaurants do not allow pre booking so they work on a first come first served basis. Worth bearing this in mind.
The Tremarne hotel was perfect for us. Everything was excellent, but the roads in Mevagissey were thin and driving up the hill to the property was an experience. During the day the road is one way so you have to go around to get into Mevagissey. We would always walk into the village. Its not far but it is a steep hill. Mevagissey is a lovely small town with plenty of pubs and eateries but we went when ping gate was active and struggled for a table anywhere. However we twice eat at the Rovrays. The fish was excellent and the ship inn. Again the steaks were lovely. If you are staying at the Tremarne hotel i would eat there. The food is outstanding. Polstreath a large beach next to Mevagissey and whilst its a good walk across the cliff top to it, we felt it was worth the hike. The walk down to the beach gets your blood pumping as it is steep and a lot of steps. You can have a well deserved drink at the Nutty Duck on the way back which is located more or less directly opposite the steps down to the beach.
The location. We know Mevagissey very well but it was the first time we had used Honeycombe House. The owners, Ian and Val were wonderful. Friendly and informative and nothing was too much trouble. The room was comfortable and very clean. The views of the village/harbour/out to sea were stunning and the Breakfast room overlooked it all. Our room view was the Harbour. The variety and quality of breakfast was better than some quite expensive hotels we have stayed in and was delicious.
We loved stunning views from the bedroom and lounge. The balcony that caught the morning and evening sun. Mevagissey is a charming town and the surrounding area is full of quiet beach coves, cliff top walks and tiny villages to walk to and explore. Tom is also a skilled boat builder and we were lucky enough to see a beautiful wooden boat he had hand built. We cycled the area too, lots of off road tracks but of course it’s very hilly!
The property was in a perfect position in Mevagissey. It was a very short walk to the harbour and a great area for costal walks. The views from the property were outstanding and it was a very quiet area. The house was very nicely decorated, spotlessly clean and very well equipped and their were some lovely touches from the property owner too. It was lovely and warm and I would not hesitate to stay there for a winter break too
view was amazing ! lovely seating area outside over looking the sea . Nice bar & lounge area , friendly staff & good breakfast . we had bar snacks in the evening which were very good . the rooms were clean & comfortable but over prized for what they were , think we paid for the view , but have stayed in hotels with a better room for less .
The Little Cornish B & B has a great location right in the centre of Mevagissey. It is a very cosy cottage with an individual style which has been created by the hosts, Howie and Andy, who are extremely welcoming, working really hard to make your stay enjoyable, and succeeding. The breakfast was also excellent, with a good choice.
B&B was lovely, very clean, and situated in a great location as it's around a 5-10 min walk from the main town of Mevagissey. Hosts, Mike and Caroline, were very helpful and offered advice on the best restaurants and places to visit around the area. Overall, a fantastic B&B, great value for money, and lovely hosts.
Location was great with lovely views over the bay. Access to the garden and a nice seating area to enjoy a glass of wine from the well stocked mini bar. Footpath down to the local pub for dinner or a short walk along to Mevagissey for lots of choices to eat. Nice clean room, spacious bathroom and good breakfast.
Very up to date with facilities good quality bed and very well laid out property. Set in the town so no driving around to do,restaurants all in walking distance. Parking included in the price at a local car park near by which is a nice touch.
Staff very helpful and informative about the local area. They were also very obliging in filling up my thermos-flask with fresh tea each morning.
We felt they catered to gluten free very well. The host was so lovely, inviting and knowledgable. The rooms and hotel in general was so clean.
Room was very clean an tidy, bed was amazingly comfortable. Hotels is only a very short walk into Mevagissey.
Beautiful accommodation in a wonderful location. Super friendly host.
The walk to the harbour was only five minutes away through lovely narrow streets. The customer service was second to none. The food was great and we were made to feel very welcome from the minute we got there. We were very impressed.
