What a nice, British seaside town! The Eric Morecambe statue and surrounds were worth the visit on their own. The town was full of ‘characters’ who, without exception, were sooooooo friendly. Seaside town with plenty of takeaway restaurants and pubs. Not really much to sightsee, but if you like walking at the seaside, Morecambe is for you. We liked the Happy Valley playpark for children. I’ve visited Morecambe several times and I love its British seaside charm. The beach and views are beautiful. Arcades are fabulous fun. A great selection of charity shops! Loved the promenade. Children’s play areas are excellent. Happy mount park is exceptional. Such good value for money on a nice day you can spend most of the day there. It is ideally located for all that we wanted to explore in the local area. All staff were friendly and welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. Our room was clean and well-equipped with a comfortable bed and lovely shower in the en-suite. We had breakfast both mornings and ate dinner there on our first night.
