#1 of 3 hotels in Mudeford
The beaches are unique and there are plenty of opportunities for walking Public transport in both directions is good There is a good pub ten minutes walk away from our accommodation with a varied menu at affordable prices.
We have visited Mudeford previously and were not disapointed this time. Excellent beach and coastal walks and central for visiting nearby towns - Christchurch - Lymington. Noisy Lobster on beach front serves very good, freshly caught sea food.
I live the Quayside at Mudeford. It has charm, great scenery and a decent beach nearby (Avon Beach). There is an excellent pub/restaurant (Haven House Inn) which does excellent food and real ales at a reasonable price, and you can sit inside or outside to have your meal, depending on weather. We didn't particularly like the café/restaurant on the Quayside which is bland and unappealing, and the meal cost more than at the Haven House Inn. If you want an absolutely top class dining experience, book a table at The Jetty, which is part of Christchurch Hotel and Spa. We did, and had a wonderful time on our wedding anniversary.
Beautiful coastline with Quay next to Christchurch Nr Bournemouth. Great Base for beach holiday and to explore cosmopolitan Bournemouth, The New Forest and all the lovely countryside, pubs and restaurants in the area.
Mudeford is so unspoilt and is beautiful. Great to see children crabbing. Haven Cafe is always good for food and this time we tried the Haven Inn again the food and ambience was great. The car park is fairly expensive and the wardens are very quick to put tickets on cars, so beware. There are some lovely walks around Mudeford and Avon beach and there is also Hengesbury Head which I have yet to visit. Definitely not a place to miss when in the area. There was also a re:ennactment on the green reliving the Battle of Mudeford.
“The room was very comfortable with everything provided for your stay, more like a 5 star hotel. The breakfast was amazing, and delicious. Would highly recommend a stay here. Very close to Mudeford. Parking onsite. Wonderful hosts.”
“Breakfast was 5-star hotel quality”
“Jayne and Steve are fabulously warm and friendly hosts. All the facilities and breakfast are first class and nothing is too much trouble. The location of the property is excellent, just a 5 minute walk to the beach and Mudeford Quay. Can't wait until we return.”
“A very warm and friendly welcome to Water's Edge. A perfect twin bed room for us, comfy beds, clean and in good repair. A good choice of cooked breakfast options. All well prepared and plenty of it. Enjoyed a little mixed fruit salad and orange juice first. Great location for visiting Mudeford.”
“Excellent location , very clean and well furnished - best accommodation we have found on our many trips to Mudeford 😃”
