An amazingly huge house with all modern amenities, a huge kitchen. We cooked both nights and had a spectacular time doing so with all the space. Spacious bedrooms. 3 rooms with queen beds and 2 rooms with single beds. Absolutely no regrets.

On the outskirts of Muir of Ord, Home Farm Bed and Breakfast is a 20-minute drive from Inverness. The elegant house is set in leafy gardens, and offers Scottish breakfasts and free Wi-Fi.

The hosts are lovely people, very considerate and welcoming. The breaktfast was very good and always made by Sue, loved it every single time. Both are always open to chat and share information, very nice people. The garden is wonderful and you can see the effort and love that has been put into it. The B&B lies in a remote region that is great for relaxing and doing trips to the highlands as well as to the Speyside. The whole stay at the B&B was 10, 10, 10 across the board, we enjoyed our stay there a lot.

Our family trip to the Scottish Highlands happened very last...

Our family trip to the Scottish Highlands happened very last moment in the Peak season -July. All hotels and apartments were pretty much booked or available at horrendously high prices. This property showed up in my search as an affordable option. To be honest we were not even sure what to expect but we were pleasantly surprised to find a neat and cosy cottage with clean and modern set up. Would highly recommend to go for this property if you have access to your own transport. The property does not serve breakfast but I was told there are cafes nearby that do. Staff is very friendly and helpful. I would surely consider going back to the same hotel again.

It was lovely ,well presented and just like the pictures online.Nice terrace to sit on. Nice friendly welcome from the host. Bed was very comfortable we slept very well. Shower was good. And the whole chalet was spotlessly clean. We were attending an event in Inverness so only a short journey away and much more peaceful and much less expensive than in town. And a safe space to park your car.

There are 4 local walks starting from the square. Each takes you to a different type of countryside eg down to the sea to watch seals,up a hill to see lovely views, along the old railway line and through lovely woods and along quiet roads. It is only 2.5 miles to Beauly and there is a pavement all the way so we walked there and had lunch in a pub there and wandered round the shops. We drove to Chanonry Point to look out for the dolphins. We didn’t see any but enjoyed the beach and watching the people coming and going.

Ideal for visiting nearby family on black isle and nairn. 10 minutes by car to Inverness. Lots of places to visit in the area. Chalet was immaculate inside and outside was being repainted. Enclosed garden for dogs. Andrew was very helpful on arrival and couldn't do enough to make the stay more enjoyable. Would definitely recommend and return.

Muir of Ord is situated well to be used as a base to visit The Highlands. It has access to Main roads north and south with the Black Isle on doorstep. A few eateries and carry out places will keep the hunger at bay. Nice friendly folk always keen to speak to you.

    Cannot fault this lovely property.

Cannot fault this lovely property. Every room is beautiful and very carefully planned. Loved the kitchen/ diner and loved using the AGA. The bedrooms are all spacious and very comfortable, the bathrooms all have great showers and lovely views . The outside space is great, we didn’t use the bbq and pizza oven but would imagine it’s great to use in the warmer weather. The hot tub was great too. The house is located near the distillery with lovely views front and back.

Room clean etc and fantastic service from bar man who kindly set up the dining room for us when we had to have a take away dinner delivery as the hotel did not have a cook. Unfortunately nowhere around the hotel to go for something to eat, have to go to next town along and taxis are hard to get we were told so we didn't want to chance not getting back lat at night. Hotel was cooking breakfasts though.

Great place to stay. Well equipped and clean and good value for money. Owners are really helpful and have stocked the apartment with local information and made recycling easy. Muir of Ord is a great location for sightseeing and walking. Try out the Bad girl bakery and cafe which is excellent.

Unable to take breakfast because no gluten free offered so can’t comment. Comfortable beds, lovely good quality towels. Host helpful in recommending somewhere for evening meal. Liked the traditional, unpretentious style of the hotel.

A lovely find in the woods close to Muir of Ord. Great value for money and within easy reach of many sights such as Loch Ness, Channory Point (for dolphins) and even Skye. We took the executive room, which was great and roomy.

A pleasant country house hotel that is not quite as grand inside as it appears from the outside. I had a comfortable night and good dinner and breakfast but would not automatically return.
