This 15th-century castle dates back to Mary, Queen of Scots, and is set in 40 acres of stunning parkland. Edinburgh city centre is 8 miles from Carberry Tower Mansion House and Estate. Property steeped in history and a great location for a relaxing get away from it all. Easy to get into Edinburgh using the train from Wallyford. Food was excellent with a good choice at breakfast and evening meals. Nice walks on the estate.
Set opposite Musselburgh Racecourse, Arden House is a Victorian villa which still retains its original features. Alice is very well suited to the industry, very helpful and genuinely interested in what her visitors purpose for the visit is and does what she can to assist them. Very welcoming. Beautiful breakfast.

Faside estate not in Musselburgh, but on ridge overlooking Musselburgh . The town itself is a typical small scots town, once an independent burgh, but now a suburban town for Edinburgh. good transport links to city, and to scottish east course towns and golf courses . Not many houses with historical connections , as town on the main invasion route from England , and burned down frequently. Town has harbour with roman links , and a brilliant fish shop at harbour called Clarks stocking the biggest range of fish I have ever seen.
Musselburgh is a lovely town lots of amenities, pubs restaurants etc only 30 mins by bus to Edinburgh city centre and just 6 mins by train . Staggs is legendary and well worth a visit . the golf and race courses are also worth a visit . Plenty of shops and most amenities are within walking distance. Excellent.!
Musselburgh is an historic town just outside Edinburgh. It stands on the river Esk and is really worth a visit with a Racecourse, a Theatre, and many shops and eating places. However, it is its proximity to Edinburgh and the East Lothian Golf Courses and walks that will probably appeal to most people.
Musselburgh is a great place to live. It is near Edinburgh and has a train station which lets you travel to Edinburgh and other parts of East Lothian. All shops are near by and within walking distance. Views from the flat were amazing, especially on a sunny day.
