With IP-City Center - Conference Venue reachable in 11 mi, Retreat East features accommodations, a restaurant, a fitness center, a bar and a garden. The staff make this place, made to feel welcome by all, special mention to the young man serving in the evening and Abbie in the Spa. Everyone made a fuss of our Labrador and as a reluctant traveller, she loved every minute of her stay. Beautiful surroundings and countryside walks too. And finally, when you are staying in a pet friendly room, we've stayed in places where thats been quite obvious, certainly not here, was spotless and clean and smelt lovely on arrival.
Lighthouse of Stowmarket is located in Stowmarket and offers a restaurant. The property has city views and is 16 mi from Bury Saint Edmunds. It was very clean and cleaning supplies were provided so we felt so safe staying there in this current climate. The big living room with super comfy sofas was nice for relaxing in the evenings. Having a kitchen with cooking facilities was ideal. The hosts were lovely, gave us a tonne of information about the area and even helped when I got a bit lost on the way there!

Pleasant little market town, although the main road through seems to have traffic throughout the day and night. We ate at both the Rampant Horse and The Lion which are both excellent and with walking distance of the hotel. A good location for visiting tourist places in the area.
Small country town with some interesting antique shops and a nice lake.Ate in Orford and Stowmarket.Need to drive to nicer places like the coast and Orford and Woodbridge.Confusing getting into Needham Market from the dual carriageway.
Needham Market is a lovely small Suffolk town. There are many old buildings, interesting shops and a variety of eateries. It is surrounded by delightful walks including one around its picturesque lake. It is on the railway line and regular trains take one to Ipswich, Cambridge and beyond. It is a very central place for touring whether it is the Suffolk villages, Constable country or the beautiful coast.
