Good place to stay if you want to try out Devons lido's. Good rail links and buses are OK. The shopping area is worth a visit too. Try Warren's cream tea takeaway while you're there...and remember it's jam then cream!! check recent reviews if you're thinking of staying in the Keyberry Hotel..in Aug 24 it was truly awful. Newton Abbot is a nice little town, with a decent array of shops. If you have little ones, you must go to iTown as it's a great place for toddlers and Primary School kids. The rooms were beautifully furnished and decorated. The bed was big and very comfy. Dinner and breakfast were of very high quality. The staff were very helpful and attentive. A lovely touch was that I was asked before going to the room if I wanted a small bottle of fresh milk. This beats the long life rubbish in most hotels when you crave a nice cup of tea.
