A traditional Scottish country house hotel, Creebridge House is set in 3 acres of grounds, close to Newton Stewart. Local activities include fishing, shooting, golf, cycling and walking. breakfast was delicious as was the evening meal we had there. The bar had a great selection of drinks including some lovely single malt whiskeys The location was ideal as we were travelling over to Ireland on the ferry the next morning.
The Crown Hotel is located in Newton Stewart in picturesque Wigtownshire, in the heart of Dumfries and Galloway. It features a restaurant and elegant rooms with original features. The service was unmatched, every member of staff were helpful, efficient and friendly, they couldn't do enough for you. The restaurant menu was great - a lot of variety especially with the specials menu changing frequently too. Breakfast was also a winner, continental and a full Scottish breakfast if you wanted (you could pick as many or as less items as wanted). The hotel is more than 300 years old so it was lovely staying somewhere that holds a small amount of history.
Located 8.9 mi from Newton Stewart in the Dumfries and Galloway region, Unique Roundhouse with fabulous coastal views has a garden. The property features sea views. This place is just fantastic ,the views over the water ,the birds and field mice just outside the huge windows and walked down to and along the water .We should have stayed MUCH longer and seen more of the surrounding sights knowing we could come back to this truly lovely house -thankyou again
Located 1.9 miles from Creebridge, Barnkirk Holidays has accommodations with a garden, barbecue facilities and a 24-hour front desk for your convenience. Complimentary WiFi is available. Free WiFi, complimentary tea, coffee and hot chocolate! which wasn't expected. Excellent peaceful location. Great place for a base to tour Galloway hills.

The property was clean, well furnished and had all requirements for every day living. The location was perfect for those who love an active holiday in a beautiful area. Beth and Dave had thought of everything and we were very comfortable. we will definitely be back.
Fordbank House features garden views, free WiFi and free private parking, located in Newton Stewart, a 16-minute walk from Wigtown. Great location between Wigtown and the Bladnoch Distillery. The house was immaculate and nicely decorated. My wife is a gardener and really appreciated all the fresh flowers inside. This was our first trip since COVID and we had some special needs that our hosts graciously accommodated. Best place we stayed during our vacation.
Boasting a garden and barbecue facilities, The Toll House features accommodations in Newton Stewart with free WiFi and river views. The property features garden views. The whole house was beautifully decorated with everything you could want and more in the kitchen especially. Loved the stonework left uncovered, especially in the bathroom. Contemporary and traditional.
It was the perfect place to come and unwind, surrounded by nature. We spent most of our time sitting in the outdoor 'living room' watching the weather change across the valley and Lulu contentedly grazing in her field or sitting round the fire pit, watching a thunderstorm! The bathhroom is just awesome!
Newton Stewart is a lovely quiet place to stay, everyone was really friendly and nothing is to far away. We drove to the lighthouse and the outside aquarium which we would highly recommend to do. Plenty of restaurants and cafes to choose from. They have an Aldi and a Sainsburys right next to each other which is good. A lovely stay
The Round House is truly lovely and its only just off the main road so didn't get lost but still felt like we were away from it all .Beautiful views over the sea and sheep in fields to our rear .Newton Stewart close enough to do the shopping and absolutely tons of things to see - Dominic's favorite Bladnoch Distillery ,mine just walking along the waters edge collecting rocks and watching the birds and field mice in the garden -bliss .I have to come back for a week
It's a lovely little town situated on a beautiful river. People are very friendly. The annual folk festival is wonderful. It's got a choice of supermarkets there's a Sainsburys, Aldi and a smaller Co op. Lots of pubs a few restaurants and takeaways. Just wish the two charity shops were dog friendly, I love a good mooch in a charity shop but dogs weren't allowed.
Newton Stewart is a small town, but big enough to have all the amenities you might need. Along with areas of interest such as history and wildlife. It's also ideally located for excursions into the Galloway forest or down to the beaches of the Solway Firth. A very pleasant little spot. I would recommend Brew Ha Ha for coffee and cake 👌🏼
Already familiar with the area from some years back, pleased to find it hadnt really changed except modernisation here and there. Good selection of shops and eating places, and the people very friendly.
The couple that own it were very friendly and knowledgeable about the area. They took the time to speak to you about various places to go in Newton Stewart and surrounding area. The room was comfortable with a great ensuite bathroom. The choice of breakfast was great and cooked fresh. They were very good under current circumstances in dealing with covid restrictions. During lockdown they had redecorated and the place was clean and fresh. When in the area again would definitely stay there and would recommend it to others.
Great location for exploring Galloway forest and coast. Very clean, well presented and comfortable self contained lodge separate from the main house. Did not meet owners but Hildur was easily available by phone if needed. Several pubs and restaurants in Newton Stewart (5 min drive or 15 min walk on private riverside path). Highly recommend the Creebridge House Hotel.
The location is great, only a 3 minute drive to Newton Stewart. It's very quiet, only 3 caravans surrounded by fields full of cows. There was a welcome tray with tea, coffee, biscuits etc which we appreciated. The caravan itself had a handy balcony and nice bedding.
Although the decor was a little tired, the room was spotless and the bed was incredibly comfortable. I loved the fact that Newton Stewart had Wigtown and Monleith to the south and the Forest of Galloway to the north and all within very handy reach.
DUE TO COVID CONDITIONS AND REGULATIONS THE HOTEL COPED VERY WELL WITH ALL THE SAFETY REQUIREMENTS. FOOD WAS FIRST CLASS. THE STAFF COULD NOT HAVE BEEN MORE HELPFUL.
A really beautiful location, only 5 mins from Newton Stewart. Great grounds of castle for wandering in and well furnished and cosy cottage
For being in the middle of nowhere, the quality of the accommodation was quite surprising. Very comfortable and spacious.
Great customer service experience from the minute we walked into the hotel. Super owner and staff.
great little hotel, staff very friendly
