Useful centre for visiting the area. Fakenham and Derheam are nearby with larger shops and restaurants, but there is a pleasant pub (railway Arms) in the village too. Hopefully the mid Norfolk Railway will get back here soon as well.
I had been visiting my brother a few miles away with my other brother and had travelled from Yorkshire. We were unable to stay with him so we opted for a nights stay over at the Kings Head The hotel was in a reasonably quite location, located near the junction of 2 roads, noticeable in the morning mainly, but acceptable. There was plenty of parking space. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. We found our room to be large clean, comfortable and with the comforts you would expect. The room was extremely good value for money and I would have paid a little more without arguement. The bar was good and had a range of beers with some local brews which is always nice to see. The bar meal was very good , hot and tasty and to both our likings. The breakfast provided in the restuarant area was very good and for us it was a full English, again hot and tasy ready for the day ahead. I would certainly stay again and would reccomend to anybody.
We stayed at The Kings Head whilst we were visiting local gardens. This was located in a tranquil area surrounded by open countryside. We didn't have chance to explore the village. The Bell at Brisley is 2 miles away and serves excellent food in the bar and restaurant.
Very picturesque area close enough to all the tourist areas. Visit Honington village for the most wonderful food at Honington buck. The broads were wonderful too hiring a boat was so much fun and great eateries around the area too
Didn't actually look round the village as we were visiting family in a nearby village however what we saw was beautiful. Location is quiet with lots of other towns fairly near to explore the beauty of North Norfolk.
Just an amazing place with lovely spacious rooms. Very clean and tidy, staff are lovely and the food is very nice. The hotel is in a lovely location with loads of parking. The road is quite so you don't hear traffic. Great little place and definitely will be returning.
Clean, warm, spacious and very comfortable double room with good quality bedding and towels. Good breakfasts and delicious evening meals from a menu which included seabass, pan fried duck breast, and steak. Fair selection of beers and good wine list. Francisco and his staff extremely pleasant and helpful. The Hotel is in a good position for visiting the lovely town of Holt and the North Norfolk coast. We would thoroughly recommend a stay here.
