Situated in the small picturesque village of North Queensferry, the Ferrybridge Hotel is a family-run property just 26 minutes' drive from Edinburgh. I arrived at the hotel at 7.30 a.m. after an overnight flight from Canada with check-in at 12 noon. The proprietor let me in to the hotel and offered me coffee and breakfast. She also had a room cleaned that at been vacated early, and by 9 a.m. I was in bed fast asleep.
Set in North Queensferry, Northcliff House Apartments & Cottages features accommodation with free WiFi, a seating area, a flat-screen TV and a kitchen. The accommodation was wonderful, very spacious and comfortable, spotlessly clean and with breathtaking views. A welcome tray of tea, coffee, milk and scones was much appreciated. The owner made us feel very much at home and we would certainly like to stay there again.
Situated in Edinburgh, The Stag Head Hotel features a bar. The property is located 10 km from Edinburgh Zoo. The restaurant serves British cuisine. Unique features and facilities, friendly and helpful staff. Delicious breakfast. Sensational view from our room.
Boutique bedrooms and 3 levels of outside decking make the most of Orocco Pier's waterside setting. GREAT location for a night out or - in our case - saying goodbye to Scotland after a two-week trip. Firth of Forth Bridge smack in front of all seaview rooms as well as dinner location at the Sapphire bar - WELL worth to go there for either/or. Not a lot of shopping opportunities - but super pub (Ferry Tap) across the street!
The Queens has well-equipped accommodation boasting free WiFi in Queensferry, 4.4 km from Hopetoun House and less than 1 km from Hawes Pier. The owners were friendly, the place was exquisite, the standard was 6 star. Clean, perfection and quality and my standards are high.
Overlooking the Firth of Forth railway bridge, Innkeeper's Lodge Edinburgh, South Queensferry, is just 20 minutes’ drive from the historical city centre of Edinburgh. We stayed there for one night. The Inn is lovely. It is in a very convenient location if you need to return your car at the airport the following day. The room was very comfortable as well as the bathroom. To our surprise South Queensferry is really nice. We had dinner at the restaurant and it was very good. The breakfast is also very complete and good.
The Hotel is in a good spot to travel from. The motorway heading north is no more than a 2 min drive, so great to head off to Perth, Dundee and Aberdeen. Inverkeithing station is a 5 min drive so you can be in the capital in 30 mins. Lochore and Loch Leven are no more than a 30 min drive and Loch Lomond only an hour away (Well worth the drive). Good food is very close, Queensferry has some nice places to eat and if you want genuine Scottish food there are local chip shops for a haggis / Pudding supper.
We were only there one or two nights, as we were on our way to a Conference further south. The hotel was fine, although we found it quite cold in the corridors etc. It was great to see the new Forth Bridge which had just opened at the time. I'm sure there would have been much to do, but we only had a chance to go into the town itself, and across the Bridge on our way to Cumbernauld for the Conference.
The hotel was very comfortable and surpassed our expectation. Rooms a good size comfortable beds and nice modern shower room. Staff were very friendly, helpful and polite. Food in the restaurant/ cafe/ grill was v good as was the extensive choice for breakfast. Diners get a great view out over the Forth and the new bridge. There is a friendly pleasant ambience about the hotel that suited us. Great for all, including families ( almost next door to Deep Sea World!). We had a great stay there and have already decided to book again for next year.
We went for New Year’s Eve, hotel was lovely, only issue being no public transport went back this way so we struggled to get back from Edinburgh Hogmanay festival, we ended up walking over forth bridge which was surprisingly quite a nice walk at 2am.
The view from the walk from North Queensferry train station down to Ferrybridge hotel was an unexpected joy. We could see all three bridges from our hotel room and the air smelled of saltwater. We are at the hotel and enjoyed the warm welcome of their staff.
Excellent stay at the Hilton Hotel and able to enjoy the wonderful views across the River Forth taking in all three bridges. The hotel is easy to access and a good base for visiting either Edinburgh or Fife as the transport links are on your doorstep. Visited to attend a wedding in South Queensferry so an ideal location.

It is one of the most beautiful places we have ever stayed at. We booked the “Three-Bedroom Apartment with River View” and it was worth every penny! It was clean and cosy, just like in the pictures. The view is amazing, and North Queensferry is such a nice place. It is very near to Edinburgh. The host, Liz and her dog were very friendly. I hope we will come back soon.

The staff were so friendly and the surrounding location of the North Queensferry coast was quite spectacular. Breakfast was lovely and the cook was friendly and generous. I would stay here again.
