Nestled amid over 4 acres of magnificent terraced gardens, this charming country house is beautifully set on the enchanting Pendle Hillside, boasting panoramic views over the Lancashire countryside. Breakfast was excellent and the room was very clean. Staff were very friendly.
The Lawrence is located in Padiham, 8 km from Pendle Hill. Free WiFi is available throughout. Each room has a flat-screen TV and tea/coffee making facilities. Cheerful friendly welcome on arrival. Room 4. Quiet room. Adequate space to move around. Well balanced mix of modern and vintage furniture and décor.. Excellent power points and lighting. Coffee maker and biscuits. Neat cupboard for storage. Big bottle of water provided:). Bathroom - very clean, good shower and towels. Very nice toiletries:) Heated towel radiator:) Public areas follow modern/vintage theme. Neat sitting area overlooking high street. Honesty bar. No restaurant on the week day night that I stayed - several eating options in the immediate vicinity. The Cellar - two minutes walk - has varied menu, friendly service and good wholesome food. Parking at rear of hotel is extremely limited however can drop off outside and find a space on street within a short distance.
Situated in the stunning Pennine Hills, along the M65 corridor in Burnley, this new hotel enjoys easy access to the bustling centres of Manchester, Preston, Blackpool and Leeds. Everything was lovely especially the staff a very comfortable place to stay
Crow Wood Hotel & Spa Resort has a restaurant, fitness centre, a bar and garden in Burnley. The hotel is in lovely surroundings considering the close proximity to the motorway. The staff are warm, friendly and helpful and the rooms very comfortable and spacious. The food at all the restaurants were very good, we ate at all three venues. The spa and leisure facilities were excellent I would highly recommend a short stay.
Hotel is a few miles from Padiham and is set in great North Lancashire countryside. However Padiham is another Typical NE Lancashire town with good chip shop and one of best football training facilities in the England. Nearby hill country to north is very picturesque.
We don't have a view of Padiham but the countryside around is beautiful. One of the most enjoyable parts of our stay was that all the staff at the Higher Trapp Hotel were so friendly and most welcoming. We shall return.
After staying here previously we were disappointed with the cleanliness of room 31 (Annex) this time. There was no heating in the bathroom and no toiletries. We returned this evening.....the heating had been turned on in the bathroom but still no toiletries. We mentioned this to the cleaner. Paying £74 per night we would have expected that breakfast would have been included for the price as we’ve had on other occasions. Never had need to complain before when we have stayed in the main part of the hotel. Sorry but very disappointed.
The area was lovely but bedrooms needed redecorating especially the entrance into the lodge where we stayed there where dead ladybirds in the alcoves lots of cobwebs then there where cotton buds and baby wipes in the toilet tea bsgs not replaced to be able to use complementary tea facilities empty biscuit wrappers left in the room and details of previous customers left in the room
Stayed here for one night for a mountain bike challenge the day after so didn't explore the area. There was a wedding on at the same time we was there but we didn't get disturbed by any loud music from disco. Overall a pleasant stay with helpful staff and nice food served in restaurant.
