A good buzz about the town. The pubs (The Red Lion, The Shipwrights and The London Road) were like pubs used to be plenty of options for places to eat. May OK for children but for grown ups an excellent place.
A lovely harbour with some nice shops and cafes. However Padstow was extremely busy, and we couldn’t get into a pub, even for a drink. I guess this is related to the fact people were staying in the uk. It will be good to return once the pandemic is over. The walk up to the monument above the harbour was worth doing.
Lack of pubs, Euros playing and only one place showed football (closed on Tues & Wed and had no sound) Restaurants were fully booked everywhere even though they didn't take bookings and staff had no worries about telling you how understaffed they were, not particularly friendly. Lovely Harbour but very few places to chill. Would highly recommend Greens with mini golf - the food was outstanding (one of the few places that can be pre-booked - beautiful views and lovely staff)
Love Padstow, was rather busy this time but that was to be expected.. everything you need and more.. love the quirky streets with boutique shops and the food places to eat.. great costal path to the lovely beach.. Visit a lot and I always look forward to it..
Lovely coastal fishing village, fantastic bars and restaurants. Suitable for every budget - celebrity chefs to local pubs and fish and chips takeaways. Great beach, lots off lovely walks. Visited Paul Ainsworth No6 restaurant amazing experience really worth a visit. Golden lion lovely pub and great food Chips Ahoy best fish and chips takeaway. Cherry Trees coffee shop the most amazing cakes. Arrive early all the car parks were packed with day visitors.
Lovely harbour quaint shops and lots of eating places although be prepared to que very touristy with people who have dogs. Ate at Rick Stein Bistro had to book well in advance very nice small portions but obviously part of the experience. Also went to Cornish Arms St Myrren definitely recommend but also need to book.
Padstow
Right in the centre of Padstow. No parking but easy to park in the harbour car park. Big comfy bedroom Large sitting room. Could easily have a sofa bed so the apartment could accommodate 4 people. But there was only 2 of us so still worked well for us. Bathroom very jaded could do with updating. But functional. I thought £160 was expensive for 2 people. However I do understand you have to pay a premium for location. Lovely cup of coffee delivered to door in the morning.
Padstow
We absolutely loved the apartment we stayed in, we had a balcony which was ideal for outside space, and the ducks came over frequently! There was everything you required in the kitchen area should you want to prepare meals. The shower was very spacious, with plenty of hot water. It was a peaceful stay, there was no noise from adjoining properties. Our dog settled very quickly, and dogs were very welcome with lots of walks around.
Breakfast offer was amazing (food all cooked to order with any requests accepted). Dining room with the view is unbeatable. Rooms and general feel of the property/location were amazing to use a base to travel around cornwall. Fully- intend to go back when I can next get down to Cornwall area!
Location was perfect for Padstow as it was a two minute walk into the harbour and lots of different routes. The house was spacious, well appointed and very comfortable. The garden was a little suntrap that we enjoyed a couple of late afternoons in. Shower was amazing, loads of hot water.

The view across the harbour from the apartment is just amazing. To sit at night and watch the world go by with a g&t from the big windows was bliss. We will definitely be back.
