Parbold is a lovely village.
Parbold is a lovely village. We didn’t have that much time here as we arrived late afternoon and had plans elsewhere after. There were a few really nice looking pubs/eateries but we opted to pick up a takeaway from the local Indian which was pretty good. There’s a little Morrisons handy for groceries and essentials. We visited Cedar Galleries on Angel’s recommendation which was close by. We loved it - little artisan shops such as handmade jewellery, glass and chocolate. Great coffee at Roberts, really good Cafe and I very much enjoyed completing a glass painting workshop at Julie Langan Glass. Lovely area.Guest review byBeckyUnited Kingdom - 8.0

Whilst our stay was for personal business, we truly enjoyed our stay. Alistair and Liz were generous hosts, checking in periodically to ensure our stay was pleasant. Their cottage was a home away from home. We would definitely visit again! Parbold is a small village with everything with everything we needed within close walking distance. The train station was a short 3-minute walk from the property, giving easy access to Manchester and Southport. There were also buses but they ran every 2 hours. Taxis were a little difficult to come by, but Skermersdale taxis came within the half hour.Guest review byCordellBermuda
