Located in Pennyghael, Craigrowan offers accommodation with free WiFi and TV, as well as a garden and a shared lounge. Some units include a seating area and/or a balcony. Craigrowan is the best B&B we've stayed in. Spacious, clean room. Fresh, hearty breakfast with loads of fruit. Sue made everything feel like home. It's an easy drive to Fionnphort for boat trips to Iona, Staffa, but away from the tourist traps of town. Wander down to the Pennygheal Hotel for supper. Craigrowan is a peaceful and welcoming place.

Located in Bunessan in the Isle of Mull region, Scridain View features a patio. Providing free WiFi, the property also has a garden. Surprisingly large and spacious property, all the amenities you could need, lounge and kitchen with open views out over Loch Scridain and the Burg coastline. Quiet and remote, almost silent at night so you get a good nights sleep. Only used log burner one night as weather was mild and central heating system was warm enough on its own anyway. Didn't go out specifically looking for wildlife but had short-eared owls hunting close to the property, many seals at Fidden beach nearby, saw an otter off the north beach at Iona, red deer at various places across the island, and a couple of sea eagles also.
Everything was excellent. Beautiful site, by the loche. Some restaurants nearby where closed on Mondays and we neglected research places to eat in advance of arriving. Hostess did suggest driving routes that greatly enhanced our stay on Mull.
Mull is a beautiful island but takes time to get around because of single track roads so allow for this in visiting attractions. Also book ahead for dining as there are surprisingly few places except in the two bigger towns. Pennyghael hotel dining was excellent and the Café Fish in Tobermory was also excellent with great views of the harbour and mainland.
Situated about 20 miles from the ferry along the only main road on the Island. This road is however nearly all single track with many passing places. The island is picturesque and appears to be very sparsely populated.
Stunning scenery, perfect for wildlife - sooo much to see - wonderful!! The lady that runs the post office and her husband Bryan that runs wildlife tours are lovely, friendly and VERY helpful people.
Views were spectacular, wildlife spotters dream. We spotted otters , seals, herons, buzzards, sandpipers, deer, & stag ..... the list goes on👍. Not far to the ferry to visit the Isle of Iona. Which is beautiful .
This was a perfect stay for us, we wanted to do some walking in Mull and Iona as well as explore the island by car and achieved all of that goal. The hosts at Pennyghael were friendly and knowledgeable about local sights and things to do. Breakfast was warm and hearty and set us up for full days' out and about, with an option of a packed lunch if desired. The scenery was outstanding and we managed to spot most of the local wildlife including golden and sea eagles. We were warned by the owner, Joy, regarding the brown water coming out of the taps, but you know what, that just added some extra charm to the place for us! A very enjoyable break.
