Only take-away food establishments in the village plus a convenience store. Oakley Arms approximately 10 minute drive from the village serves excellent value for money meals though they only serve up to 8pm. There are other places to eat in Porthmadog. Ffestiniog railway passes through the village and there is a station though we did not use it. Good touring base for all North West Wales. Main road through the village is very narrow.

It was just around the corner from a busy main road so some big lorries went past and could be heard. Pedestrian crossing to get to main street tho so could cross safely. Very central to a lot of attractions,

The beautiful town, Portmeirion is around a 10 minute drive away from the property, though no dogs are allowed here. Keep this in mind if you have your pooch with you. You'll find a lot of the beaches are dog friendly but do check as this changes summer time. I love North Wales! What a place.. I'd recommend everyone go here at least once.

Good location to visit many attractions and the town with a supermarket so you could pick up any groceries plus several eating places which is so convenient to grab food if you didn't want to cook. There's not much to do in the town itself but the house is warm and comfy after a day out walking or exploring.

We been 2 nights at the hotel. If you want party at the bar it's perfect to have a stay on this hotel but if you want to rest and sleep its the worse place ever !!, we was in room 4 but our neighbours from room 5 .... disgusting. Going up down with out stop .. door noise 24 h .. many hours of very loud music... people screaming in the other rooms.. Well.. not a nice place if you want to rest . 👍

The room was a good size very clean. Downstairs is a games room with pool table and darts and there are 2 other rooms if you want a quiet drink. The staff were very friendly. Your only 7min drive away from portmeirion and 10min away from portmadog. There is various food places around although you can't take food in to the hotel.

Breakfast was ‘ freshly made to order ‘ and better than many hotels we've stayed at. Rural location of property and view from the room and garden were breathtaking. Surrounded by nature.
