We have been to Perth several times to stay with friends who live in the city. This time we attended a wedding but needed alternative accommodation to our friends home. Sky Lodge was a short distance from the venue. I chose this town because it was near Stirling Castle.
I chose this town because it was near Stirling Castle. Turns out, I visited Scone Palace instead because the Stone of Destiny originated there. I wasn't aware of that when I planned my trip. We went for the racing but it was way too busy at the course, still a good day! The town has a lot of nice bars, cafes and restaurants and a good High Street with the usual M&S Next Boots Primark etc We also enjoyed listening to live music a couple of times outside the old Debenhams at lunchtime. Tabla and Cardo were both good places to eat. Didn't do anything cultural although a lot of the buildings were architecturally notable. The apartment is spotlessly clean and beautifully decorated and has a wonderful spa that we enjoyed greatly. Lawrence, the host, is a great communicator, and we could not have enjoyed our stay more.
