Residence One, a Grade II listed building, is located within the historic Royal William Yard in the ocean city of Plymouth. EVERYTHING, we’ve enjoyed every minute at bistrot Pierre and we regret the fact that we couldn’t stay longer. Definitely THE best hotel during our one week road trip through England! The Royal William Yard was very beautiful and inviting with good restaurants! Will go back there in the future!

Many families visiting Plymouth loved staying at St Elizabeth's House, Imperial Plymouth, and Rooms by Bistrot Pierre.
Plymouth is the UK's 6th largest city and it's by the sea!! even with the Covid restrictions at the time, I was able to eat out of an evening as there was no evening meal at the Hotel. There is so much history to see. I bet you won't find the house that sir Arther Conan Doyle had a Dr's surgery at in Stonehouse.
Coming from someone who used to live in the area, I love it, it's great city life but you can also break out of that during the day as your only a 7 minute ferry ride to Cornwall, with lovely Beaches and local pubs. You can't go wrong with a weekend away in Plymouth, you'll never be short of things to do. One thing I recommend is the gin distillery tour, don't go on an empty stomach or you will be lathered by the end of it. But very informative and a really nice atmosphere. Check out the barbican for some slow paced night life with lovely harbour views.
We have visited Plymouth for years due to familly connections and the fact we like the place. Plymouth has may attrctions itself including the Centre, the Hoe, Smeatons Tower, the Barbican and many places to dine out. It is also well located for visits to Dartmoor, Tavistock and many coastal towns including Dartmouth Paignton Brixton etc, Also Cornwall is just a few miles over the Tamar Bridge. A lot to like and not to forget the Devon Folk who make any visit a pleasure.
Staying in the Barbican area was a bonus, nice shops and a good choice of places to eat. Easy to find a boat-trip and appreciate everything from the water. But wrap up warm if in a boat, the weather changes constantly between sunshine, wind and rain. Plenty of places to visit in the local area, the Distillery, Aquarium, Mayflower Museum, walk the Hoe (not a woman with loose morals, but an ancient word for "high ground"..) No need to go into the city centre but that is a nice walk too, up the Armada Way.
We really enjoyed our weekend here. Aided by lovely autumnal sunshine we were able to walk and explore all over the city with our dog. Lots of dog friendly places. One to mention is The Harbour which gave our pooch her own plate of dog biscuits and had great food for us too! Will definitely come back.
The whole atmosphere was fantastic, all the history ,photos and information about Plymouth give a brilliant insight. Lovely walks. We had some fabulous food in The Ship , the Harbour Seafood Restaurant. Watching the boats coming and going into the harbour.
I paid £36 for a single room for one night, the room had everything you could want tv, tea and coffee facilities, a radio alarm clock, a heater, a shower, it was clean and tidy, a comfortable bed perfect for what i needed. It was a really good deal and I will be staying there again next time I go to Plymouth. A Great stay. it was in a lovely location over looking a beautiful park. Would recommend it and stay there again
I booked this for a colleague so wasn’t there myself but the people running the B&B were wonderful and easy to communicate with, especially when there was an issue with my card not working. They handled everything so well and obviously put a lot of care into making sure everything is perfect :) thank you so much!
Have stayed before and as always the hosts were excellent! Nothing is too much trouble, the location is perfect for visiting the Hoe and catching the ferry to Mount Edgecombe. They have made excellent preparations for COVID and the takeaway breakfast was superb. Will definitely stay here every time we visit.
