The location is great. It is a comfortable place with ample space. It is a nice building (old school) where multiple apartments are located. It is higher up the hill so you have an nice view. And there is nearly no traffic at all so it is nice and quiet. The hostess is helpful and will try to fix any shortcomings (see what I did not like).

Great location for our group of 5 whisky enthusiasts to explore Islay. Very close to Bruichladdich distillery and a nice walk to Port Charlotte.

The house was well situated between port Ellen and Bowmore, making it an ideal location for exploring the island. The kitchen was very well equipped.

Overall, the cottage was a win. We booked it to stay with friends and their family and while we all had to share the one bathroom, once we figured out who was sleeping where, it was fine. The cottage is close to Port Ellen, though we did drive into town it is walkable. We also walked to the singing sand beach and square lighthouse. The host was super helpful, communicated via email and WhatsApp, and they even responded to inquiries/messages after we checked out.
