Shona was so nice and met me as I drove up with smiles. She went over everything I would want to know about the stay. Shona totally stocked the fridge with fresh blueberries, raspberries, strawberries and several other fruits. Cereals, yogarts, brie cheese, and many other items were also provided. The place was spotless and looked to have been newly refurbished. It was a little over five minutes walk to the town square. I could not have been happier with the stay.

I only spent one night in Portree so my judgement is limited. Even before the tourist season started, it was quite crowded. I can’t imagine what it must be like at the height of the season. Skye is lovely but expensive compared to other locations in Scotland.

Skyelight Apartment is at a great location, very near to Portree town centre, maybe 1-minute walk. Nicely furnished, warm and cozy. Note though there is no washing machine. Otherwise, a wonderful accommodation.

A beautiful highlands town. Dinner reservations can be a bit of a challenge, however, you are on vacation typically and need to be patient. The food is definitely worth it - I stayed 4 nights and did not have a bad meal or experience.Bonnie

Stunning views from the room and from the breakfast area. On a clear day, you can actually see the Old man of Storr while eating breakfast! The location is perfect, only 6 min drive to Portree. Our host even left cupcakes and treats in our room which was a welcomed surprise after a long journey to get there. I would definitely recommend this accommodation to anyone visiting Skye.

The Isle of Skye was the most beautiful place we’ve ever been to and the Marmalade Hotel is perfectly situated in Portree, so you’re never too far from anything that Skye has to offer. I would highly recommend visiting the Fairy Pools and Kilt Rock/Mealt Falls, both are incredible views.
