We stayed for one night at the Florence Suite Boutique Hotel. Although the standard room with shower was comfortable, the bathroom was very small. We had dinner at the restaurant, which was excellent, and the mushroom tagliatelle was superb. Vist was to complete our Historic Dock yard tours. Portsmouth has a lot of history and some great shopping too @ Gun Wharf Quays. Good food and nice locals . We came to Portsmouth for a specific sailing event - SailGP - over two days. Also excellent opportunity to visit Naval Dockyard with Explorer Pass being great value for money.
