The most important point make me come again is the location. This is not the first or last time for me in this lovely hotel, it’s my only one distinction in Portsmouth. Especially after the great renovation they did.

Great hotel just outside city center. Uber or taxi to sights $11 - 15 each way only 10 minute ride; so worth it not to drive to sites. Room was spacious and comfortable. We like everything for our 2 night stay. Plenty of parking. Ignore the signs stating 5 pounds a day parking fee. Register your car at front desk; parking free for your stay. Restaurant excellent. Vegetarian choices.

We come back to Portsmouth, because it's our home town.

We come back to Portsmouth, because it's our home town. We don't live in the UK now. Generally, there are plenty of activities in the surrounding area, bus routes good, and train connection all close by.

We stayed for one night at the Florence Suite Boutique Hotel. Although the standard room with shower was comfortable, the bathroom was very small. We had dinner at the restaurant, which was excellent, and the mushroom tagliatelle was superb. We did have a walk out around the area, which brought us ten minutes away to a variety of pubs and shops, stopped for a drink at The Vaults, the beer I can report from my husband was very good.

Portsmouth has a wide variety of interesting places to visit but I wouldn't describe it as a seaside holiday resort. It is a city. Southsea front has museums but the beach is rather stony and wouldn't be to everyones' taste.

Great location by Gunwharf Quays and the historic dockyard, and very convenient for Portsmouth Harbour station. We were in a standard apartment but had a view of the Warrior from one of the windows. Very clean and generally comfortable. Either soundproofing in the building is excellent or all the neighbours were away, we didn't hear a thing from other flats. Barry was very efficient at meeting us and letting us in.
