The Heather Dew, hotel in Portstewart

Set in Portstewart, 18 km from Giants Causeway, The Heather Dew provides accommodation with a hot tub. This property offers access to a terrace, free private parking and free WiFi.

We rang the host as we couldn't open the link with the code for the door (an issue with my phone, not their system) & they couldn't have been more helpful. Once inside, the house & garden were much bigger than it than they look in the pictures online! The house was also spotless! We loved the funky decor! The coffee machine was put to good use as soon as we arrived. The heating & hot water were easy to operate, & the automatic settings meant we arrived to a nice warm house, with piping hot water for the shower. That was very much appreciated after a windy day on the coast! Excellent facilities as described. Unfortunately we didn't have time this trip to make use of the hot tub. The beds were really comfy. The location is fantastic. Walking distance to the main street, & close to several attractions by car. Would highly recommend.

Loved being able to walk everywhere.

Loved being able to walk everywhere. Good bus service - easy travel into both Portrush and Coleraine. We travelled to Portstewart from home by both bus and train - it took us under two hours and we enjoyed not having to drive. Look forward to going back.

Portstewart is an absolute haven for all. Beautiful walks, beaches and food for every palate along the promenade. Relax with a coffee or a cold pint and sit and watch the world go by. Shopping brings fabulous bargains from quirky gifts to discounted outdoor wear. Also great bargains for many household items. Something to entertain all ages. Local parks to cliff walks or simply sitting on one of the dedicated seats along the promenade and take in the atmosphere. A gem of the North Coast.

    Portstewart is lovely.

Portstewart is lovely. Had afternoon drinks in the Anchor bar and returned in the evening for lovely steaks. Lively spot with great live band playing. Plenty of room outside too. Taxi home was difficult to get but doorman assisted us. Had ice cream in Morelli's too. Lovely. Refreshing walk around the outside of the Convent with stunning views. (although lots of steps)

Beautiful main street with the sea on one side and shops (mainly cafes) on the other. Very relaxing place to be in. Little harbour to one end is an extra sight. Walk from other end round to the strand just nice length away for the able bodied.

The hotel was decorated for Halloween which gave the place a great atmosphere. All the staff were friendly and excellent at their job. We were made to feel welcome from the minute we arrived. We had an evening meal in the Bistro which was amazing and also the breakfast was perfect. Our room was spacious and spotless and the bed was extremely comfortable. The location was perfect. Would definitely recommend and will definitely go back to stay again soon. Wish all hotels had staff as good as this!

Suppose you want a cosy and comfortable place to stay with an Atlantic View Bed and Breakfast, then NUMBER 5 Atlantic View is the place to be. You can enjoy the panoramic ocean view even more with a short walk to the town. Our host was terrific, and we loved the talks and learning about teh history of the nicely redecorated house. Don’t miss this opportunity to experience the beauty and culture of Ireland at the NUMBER 5 Atlantic View B&B.
